Google OnHub : Google WLAN Router kommt nach Deutschland

Der Google OnHub Router den Google in Zusammenarbeit mit TP-Link entwickelt hat, wird in Kürze auch in Deutschland erhältlich sein. Was der Router leistet und was er kosten soll erfährst du bei uns.

Vor einiger Zeit hat Google seinen Router präsentiert, doch bisher war nicht bekannt, ob und wann der Router auch in Deutschland erhältlich sein wird. Doch nun hat TP-Link eine Pressemitteilung veröffentlicht, in der zu lesen ist, dass der Google OnHub Router im 1. Quartal 2016 auch in Deutschland auf den Markt kommen soll.

Bei der Markteinführung zu Beginn des nächsten Jahres soll der Router um die 230 € im Preis liegen. Man kann zwar davon ausgehen, dass der Preis nach einiger Zeit sinken wird, doch bekommt man mit dem OnHub Router ein gutes Stück Technik ins Haus.

Der Router besitzt in seinem Inneren 13 Antennen um auch in die kleinste Ecke des Einsatzgebietes gute WLAN Leistung zu bringen. Der Router wird von einem IPQ8064-Prozessor von Qualcomm betrieben und bietet so sehr viel Leistung. Es wird in den beiden Frequenzenbändern von 2,4 und 5-GHz gefunkt und unterstützt 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac sowie Bluetooth.

Als Arbeitsspeicher steht dem Router 1 GB RAM zur Verfügung und als festen Speicher noch 4 GB RAM. Zusätzlich eingebaut ist noch ein 3 Watt  Lautsprecher sowie eine USB 3.0 Buchse. Als Betriebssystem kommt das auf Android basierende Brillo zum Einsatz. Der ganze Router soll kinderleicht zu bedienen sein, denn dieser kann nur mit einer entsprechenden App konfiguriert werden.
