Silly Walks Discotheque - Smile Jamaica [Full Album]
„Smile Jamaica" ist das neue Various Artists Album des Hamburger Reggae Soundsystems und Produzententeams Silly Walks Discotheque.
Seit ihrem letzten Album „Storms of Life" von 2012 haben Silly Walks einige massive weltweite Reggaehits wie z.B. „Smile Jamaica" von Chronixx und „Dreams of Brighter Days" von Busy Signal & RC hervorgebracht, die beide auf dem neuen Album gefeatured werden. Die meisten Tracks sind dagegen brandneu und exklusiv und werden u.a. von Jesse Royal, Ikaya, Gentleman & Torch, Patrice, Marcia Griffiths, Assassin aka Agent Sasco und Christopher Martin gesungen.
Die meisten der verwendeten Riddims wurden von Gentlemans Band The Evolution unter der Leitung von Drummer Joe „Big Finga" Copoola eingespielt, während andere von Jr Blender, der an den meisten Silly Walks Discotheque Releases mitgewirkt hat und der jetzt als Leiter des Major Lazer Produktionsteams u.a. mit den Titel „Lean On" Popgeschichte schreibt.
