D Heute möchte ich einen kleinen Produktetest machen, es handelt sich um ein Fotobuch der Firma Saal-Digital, welche Fotobücher, Karten, Fotos, Poster, Wandbilder und Fotogeschenke drucken. Ich habe dort eine Kooperation angefragt und sie waren so lieb mir ein Fotobuch und eine passende Box bereit zustellen. Aber auch wemm sie mir diese Dinge kostenlos gegeben haben werde ich euch meine ehrliche Meinung schreiben.

D Designen und bestellen
Saal-Digital bietet zwei Arten an um das Buch zu designen und zu bestellen, man kann zwischen einer Software der Firma und dem hochladen einer pdf-Datei wählen. Ich habe die Software gewählt. Der Download und das Installieren waren einfach und haben nur einige Sekunden gedauert und es ist einfach damit zu arbeiten. Als erstes kann man eines der Produkte aussuchen und dann designen, man kann ein eigenes Design erstellen oder eine Vorlage auswählen. Ich habe ein eigenes Design gemacht, da ich die Bilder einfach groß auf einer Seite haben wollte. Das einzige negative, dass ich zu sagen habe ist, dass es meine Lieblingsschrift - DeVinne - nicht gab. Aber na gut, damit kann ich leben, ich habe eine schöne andere Schrift gefunden. Was ich auch noch zusagen habe, ist das ich sehr viel Spaß beim designen hatte. Sehr praktisch an der Software war, dass man das "Projekt" speichern konnte und einfach später damit weiter machen konnte.
Nach dem designen muss man nur einen Knopf drücken und das Programm ckect das Produkt durch und legt es in den Warenkorb. Das bestellen war mit der Software genauso einfach wie das designen und hat nur wenige Minuten gedauert. Nach dem bestellen läd die Software das Fotobuch zu Saal-Digital hoch, was etwas Zeit braucht, aber man muss dabei nichts machen, nur die Software im Hintergrund laufen lassen.
E Creating and bookingSaal-Digital offers two kinds of booking and creating the photobook, you can choose between a software by the company and uploading a pdf-file. I chose the software. Downloading and installing were easy and needed just some seconds and it is easily operated. First you choose a product and then you design it, you can make your own design or use submittals. I made my own design because I just wanted the pictures big on one page. The only negative thing I have to say about the design process is, that they didn't have my favorite font: DeVinne. But well, I can live with that, I found another nice font. And I have to say: I really had fun designing it. It's very handy, that you can save your "project" and just work on it later.
After designing you just push a button and the programm checks your product and puts it in the checkout basket. Booking with the software is as easy as designing and needs just some minutes. After the booking, the software uploads the photobook to Saal-Digital, that needed some time, but you don't have to do anything, just run the software in the background.
D Versand
Der Versand kostet nur 4 Euro und hat gerade mal 2-3 Tage gebraucht (Ich habe das Buch Freitag Abend bestellt und es kam Dienstags). Das ganze fand ich sehr schnell, wenn man bedenkt, dass sie das Produkt nicht nur verpacken und verschicken mussten sondern auch noch drucken!
E Shipping
Shipping and handling costs were only 4 Euro, which translates to about $6 and took 2-3 days (I ordered it on Friday evening and it arrived on Tuesday) within Germany. Which is pretty fast I think, if you include that they not only have to pack it and ship it, they also had to print it.
D Das Fotobuch
Für das Buch habe ich ein A4 Querformat gewählt. Es ist ein Hardcoverbuch und hat 44 Seiten. Der Preis wäre 45€ gewesen. Das Cover und alle Seiten sind glänzend, was das Buch sehr edel und professionell aussehen lässt. Die Qualität ist grandios - ungelogen -, ein paar Bilder sind etwas verpixelt, aber ich glaube das liegt an meinen Fotos und nicht an dem Druck, denn die meisten sind unheimlich scharf. Die Qualität hat mich wirklich umgehauen, sie ist richtig klasse und das ganze sieht sehr professionell aus.
E The Photobook Book
The book has a horizontal format and about the size of a normal magazine. It is a hardcoverbook and has 44 pages. The price for it would be 45€, so about 60$. The cover and all pages are shiny, which looks very elegant and professional. The quality is really gorgeos -truly -, some of the photos are a little bit pixelated, but I think thats because of my photos and not because of the print, because most of them are really very sharp. The quality has blown me away, it is really wonderful and looks so professional.
D Die Box
Die Boxt sieht auch sehr professionell und edel aus und schützt das Buch sehr gut. Die Farbe ist anthracit, aber man hätte auch eine weiße Box wählen können. Der Preis wäre 20€. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich die Box ohne das Sponsoring gekauft hätte, weil ich dafür nicht unbedingt einen Nutzen habe. Aber für Leute die das Buch oft mit sich nehmen ist es eine sehr gute Transportmöglichkeit, da der Schaumstoff innen drin - wie ich schon gesagt habe - sehr gut schützt. Außerdem sieht die Box richtig gut aus, ist also ein schöner Zusatz, wenn man aus dem Fotobuch ein Geschenk machen möchte.

The box looks very professional and elegant and protects the book very well. It's colour is anthracite, but you can also choose a white one. It costs 20€ - about 27$ -. I don't think that, without the sponsoring, I would have bought it, because I just don't have a real need for it. But for people who take the book with them a lot it's a good transport option, because it has foam in it, which is - like I already said - protecting the book very well. Also it looks nice, if you want to make a gift out of the photobook.
D Fazit
Ich habe eigentlich keinen großen Punkt an dem ich etwas zu nörgeln hätte und bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Fotobuch. Außerdem war der Support von Saal-Digital sehr freundlich und sympatisch. Ich gebe der Firma also 5 von 5 Herzen.
