Treuen Lesern dieses Blogs dürfte Freddy Knop ehemals pOnk Music bekannt sein. Im Rahmen von Europas erstem Crowdfunding Festival One Spark Berlin stellt Freddy heute und morgen sein neues Album “Belongings” vor. Nach einem zweijährigen Prozess von Aufnahme, Produktion und dem Überdenken des Albumkonzeptes hat das Release eine Form angenommen, die lediglich noch finanzielle Unterstützung zum Abschluss der Produktion braucht.
Am 13.09./14.09.2014 gibt es also in der Platoon Kunsthalle Liveeindrücke zu “Belongings” zu hören. Außerhalb von Berlin könnt ihr natürlich auch einen Eindruck über Freddys Musik bekommen. Das Video unten stellt seine Arbeit sehr gut vor.
I will present my project by way of a live performance of those pieces, which I have already produced. These pieces will be brought to life with the help of a Midi-controller/drum-sampler set-up, which allows me to play the recorded sounds and assemble them into musical pieces in real-time. This live performance will be accompanied by a video, which documents the recording process in the apartment.
