Es scheint langsam wieder aufwärts zu gehen mit dem Wetter, zwar sieht es noch recht trist aus, aber es wird peu a peu auch wieder wärmer, zwar noch nicht wie letzte Woche, die an fantastischem Wetter ja absolut nicht zu übertreffen ist, aber es wird es wird. Nicht verzagen.Ich trage dennoch einfach weiter Sommerkleider auf, mit Schichten drunter ist das kein Problem.
Das Kleid habe ich vor kurzem fertiggestellt, das Schnittmuster ist ein abgewandeltes Lady Skater Dress, mein absolutes Lieblingsschnittmuster überhaupt. An diesem Kleid habe ich das Oberteil sehr verkürzt, bis es fast Empirelänge hat, es endet also knapp unter der Brust. Des weiteren habe ich das Rockteil etwas weiter ausgestellt, so schwingt es noch viel mehr beim Gehen.
Slowly but surely the weather is getting better again, it is still looking quite dreary, butit is gradually getting warmer, it is in no way close to last week yet, but it is getting there.I'm going to continue to wear summer dresses, with some layers underneath this doesn't really pose a problem.
I just finished the dressa few days a go. I made another modified version of the Lady Skater Dress, which is my absolute go-to pattern, whenever I want something quick and easy, and very comfortable to wear. It is really my favourite pattern ever. In this version I shortened the bodice quite a bit, it ends just below the chest now. I also made the skirt part flare out even more, which enhances the swinging and swaying of the skirt.
Durch das verkürzte Oberteil ist das ganze Kleid ein Ticken zu kurz und so habe ich meine momentan liebste Rockverlängerung gewählt, einfach elastische Spitze drannähen, das gibt jedem Kleid etwas besonders, wie ich finde.
Naturally, the shortened bodice makes the entire dress a lot shorter, so I used my favourite lengthing method of the moment: adding an elastic lace edge to the skirt. I think it adds a special je ne sais quoi to the dress ;)
Ich trage diese Art von Kleid gerne mit Gürtel, geht natürlich auch ohne, aber ich fand den blauen Gürtel recht passend zu den lila Blumen.
I prefer to wear this type of dress with a belt, of course you can do without, but I like to blue belt with the lilac flowers of the dress.
Da ich zwei Coupons des Stoffes vom Stoffmarkt hatte, war der Stoff ein wenig zu knapp und ich musste das Rücketeil statt im Bruch in zwei Teilen ausschneiden, so hat das Rückenteil nun eine lange Naht hinten, ich überlege noch, ob ich einen schönen Zierreißverschluss drübernähe.
I only had two coupons of this fabric, so I didn't have quite enough to cut out the back bodice piece on the fold, so now it has a seam down the middle. I'm thinking about adding a decorative zipper to hide the seam.
Und das obligatorische Drehwurmbild bei so einem weiten Rock, ach ja, da komm ich mir immer wieder wie ein Kleinkind vor, wenn ich mich ununterbrochen im Kreis drehe.
Of course you need a twirl picture with this kind of flared skirt, I always feel like a little child, while I spin around and around.
Und weil ich soviel Spass beim Posieren hatte und ich von den Pfingstrosen grade einfach nicht genug bekomme hier noch ein Pseudo "künstlerisches" Porträtfoto.
Ich muss posieren üben, damit ich meiner Freundin richtige Anweisungen für ihr Posieren bei ihrer bald anstehenden Hochzeit geben kann, ich bin die designierte Fotografin ;)Aber Anweisungen geben kann ich besser, als annehmen, hehe
I was having some fun with the posing and as I can't get enough of peonies at the moment I give you a pseudo-"artisitc" portrait.
I have to practice posing, so I can give proper directions while taking pictures of my friend at her wedding, I am the designated photographer ;)But I am better at giving instructions than in accepting them, lol
