Seit gestern gibt es das Ingress Update auf 1.49.0. Seit ca. einem Monat gehen Gerüchte und News Teardowns rum wo immer wieder berichtet wird das es eine Kapsel geben wird.
Diese Kaspel gibt es nun, aber noch nicht für alle sondern bisher nur Teilnehmer des Ingresswear Contests.
Das es in Zukunft, wann auch immer, diese Feature für alle geben wird entnehme ich dieser Antwort aus einem Google+ Post. Vielleicht wird es auch so sein das die Kapsel mit nem neuem höheren Level dazu kommt. Aber das ist alles Spekulation.
v1.49.0 is rolling out to all Agents via Google Play and includes an updated AGENT profile and Agent position arrow. Additionally, +Visur Technology announced earlier today that their Capsule technology is now live.
Rare Capsules can hold up to 100 items, which count towards your Inventory. Capsules are reusable, and marked with a unique ID. At this time, Capsules can only be obtained via passcodes.

Eine Kapsel dient dazu Items wie Burster, Portal Shields, Resonatoren u.v.m. zu sammeln und anzulegen. Diese wird mit einem Passcode gesichert.
