Resort ist ein Ort der Entspannung und relax, in der Fashion Welt ist also bekannt als die Saison zwischen Frühling und Sommer. Dieses Jahr hat sich Essie von der Safari der '30 inspirieren lassen. 4 Farbe haben sehr viel mit relax gemeinsam, jedoch mit einer gewissen Eleganz.
Einmal aufgetragen hat mir dieser Kollektion sofort an die Hollywood Stars der '40 und '50 wie Lauren Bacall, Ava Gardner, Jane Russell. Sie hatte alle diese geheimnisvolle, elegant, blick in die Augen, fast als werden sie unerreichbar. Genau wie dieser Kollektion: geheimnisvoll, elegant, unerreicht!!
Fair Game: blau-grau, Schimmer. Grau wird nie meine Farbe egal ob mit oder ohne Schimmer, dachte ich zumindest. Die neue grauen die aber in letzter Zeit auf der Mark zu finden sind haben etwas an sich. Ich komme nicht dahinter: ist das der Farben an sich oder die Tatsache das es eben nicht nur grau ist!! Fair Game ist anders: es hat viel blau, ein kleine Teil von rosa in der micro-shimmer, und ein winzige kleine Anteil von grün die dieser Grau-blau ein Tuch an Eleganz verleiht.
Da Bush: salbei-grün, cream. Geht es da um den Stauch, der Bush, die Staude! Ich bezweifle das es um politischer Persönlichkeit geht. Die Farbe ist fast identisch als der grässliche OPI Stanger Tides, obwohl Da Bush ein Tick dunkler ist, aber eben nur ein Hauch fast nicht zu unterscheiden. Also dieser cream ist wirklich nicht meins, aber trotzdem einzigartig und eben anders als sein Konkurrent von OPI dank eine bessere Texture.
Lion Around: nude-pink, shimmer. Dieser Name...Geht es um die Jagt? Oder um herumfaulenzen an der müde Abendsonne Afrikas? Diese Nude-pink ist nicht weniger elegant als seine Kollektion-brüder, in Gegenteil. Ich finde es anbetungswürdig!! Und ich sage es sicher nicht von jeden Nude.
Your Hat Or Mine: pink-coral, shimmer. Classic, schick, Romantik. Das sind die Adjektive die mir in den Sinn kommen wenn ich diese Farbe anschaue. Es strahlt eine gewisse Nostalgie aus nach '50 Jahren. Den micro-shimmer lasst dieser pink-korall stahlen. Für mich ein keeper.
Deckkraft und Texture: Ich habe bei allem außer Da Bush 2 schickten aufgetragen und war sehr zufrieden mit ihm Ergebnis. Da Bush brauch 3 schickten da die Texture ein bisschen flüssiger als die andere ist.
Unter der Strich: Ich bin von dieser Kollektion begeistert! Sie hat nicht nur ein Touch an Nostalgie sondern auch die Eleganz die in ein Resort zu erwarten ist. Die drei micro-shimmer sind für mich die schönsten, Da Bush würde ich persönlich nicht kaufen. Wenn aber etwas elegantes und außergewöhnlich mag ist mit dieser cream bestens bedient.
Launch: Essie Resort Collection ist erhältlich ab Oktober 11 auf dem Markt und kann in ausgewählte Nail Studio gekauft werden oder kann bei mir für Fr. 20.- + Porto bestellt werden.

Essie Resort Collection 2011
Resort is a place to relax and to chill out. In the world of fashion is also know as the season between spring and summer. This year Essie has been inspired from Afrika Safari of the ’30. This 4 colors have something in coment: elegance.
As soon it was on my nails I recall the Hollywood stars from the ’40 and ’50; Lauren Bacall, Ava Gardner, Jane Russell. They all had this elegance, this mysterious look in they eye, like they were unreachable. Just like this collection: elegant, mysterious, unreachable!!
Da Bush: salbei-grün, creme. I think this name comes from the bush not from the Bush (you know what I mean). This cream is almost a dupe of OPI Stanger Tides although the difference is very tiny within the color; Da Bush is a hint darker but you have to search the difference in the texture. Da Bush is runnier.
Fair Game: blue-grey, shimmer. Gray will never be my color, no matter if with or without shimmer. You can see lots of gray lately but this gray has something special: a hint of blue in the base, micro-shimmer in pink and green makes this grey very elegant.
Lion Around: nude-pink, shimmer. What’s it about this name?! It’s about hunting? Or it’s about to slob around in the tired late sun Africa? This nude-pink it’s Absolut adorable!! And I don’t say this to every nude.
Your Hat Or Mine: pink-coral, shimmer. Classic, Schick, romantic. This is what comes in my mind when I saw this color on my nails. It has something out another time like the movies from the ’50. The micro-shimmer makes this pink-coral a keeper.
Opacity & Texture: The tree micro-shimmer has 2 coats and it’s enough for a nice coverage. Da Bush needed 3 coats for a perfect opacity because the texture is a bit runny as the others.
The bottom line: I just love this collection! It has this special touch of nostalgia and the elegance that you expect to find in a Resort. The tree micro-shimmer are my favorites, Da Bush is not mine, it is thought an elegant and abnormal color that some out there should like.
