Bereits bei der Vorstellung von Essie French Affair Spring Kollektion habe meine Begeisterung für den zartes blau gezeigt. Es ist fast Tradition das in Frühling fast ausschliesslich Pastell Farben gezeigt werden, man könnte meine das fehlt an Fantasie, zum Glück trifft das bei dieser Kollektion nicht zu.
Es ist passend zu der Jahreszeit, frisch, zart, süss.
Ich bin seit längerer Zeit ein Fan von Essie, egal was sie auf den Markt bringt.
When I first introduced the new Essie Spring Collection to you I mentioned how enthusiastic I was to see a blue under all the Pastel colors. Maybe is a leak of fantasy or maybe is only tradition that Essie always brings pastel lacquer each spring over and over again.
I find that it matches the season: fresh, tender and cute.
Franch affair
Ein schönes creme rosa, richtig frühlinghaft: nicht so Baby, nicht zu sexy. Es ist der passende Farbe für eine Oster Essen. Viele Bunde Eier, Schokolade und pastellfarbene Dekor. Dazu die passende rosa nägel. Mir gefällst.
Nice pink, very spring-like: not so baby pink, not to sexy. It's the right color for an Easter Lunch; lots of colorful eggs, chocolate and nice pastel color decoration. This is the right color for such a day. I like it

Coat Azure
In der Flasche sieht man deutlich das blaue Mikro Glitter Partikel. Was mir ein meistens gefällt bei dieser himmel-blau ist das es nicht richtig Pastell ist. Meistens sind die Essie Spring Farben... langweilig weil sie alle Pastell sind und man erkennt keine grosse unterschied, Dieser Saison hat sie aber Essie ins Zeug gelegt und dieser Himmel blaue ist ein Traum auf die Nägel. Es ist absolut mein Favorit und ich bin bekanntlich ein no-blue Girl.
In the bottle you can see the very fine blue micro-glitter. What really gets me about this sky-blue is the fact that is not a real pastel color. Most of the Essie spring color is boring because they all look the same, not this spring. Essie did really a god job this time I am absolutely love this micro-glitter sky blue, and I am not a blue-gal.

Nice in Nice
Pastell creme violett. Wenn ich an Nizza denke, kommt mir eine andere Farbe in Sinn als dieser pastel-lilla. Naja,mindestens der name ist schön.
pastel cream lilac-violet. When I think of Nice, I see the beautiful sea, the Croisette, the scent of fish and sand in the nose. At least the name is nice. But whit a coat of Kisses & Bises this boring pastel lilac because a glamorous lavender violet.

Topless & Barefoot
In der '70 und '80 war topless auf der Französische Riviera fast der Standard und dieser Zeit war unwiederbringlich, Lieder. Ich habe auch in der später '80 topless an Stand meine Bräune geholt, in Italien und Frankreich machte es damals alle, oder fast. Dieser Farbe erinnerte mich an dieser Zeit. Unverbesserlich! Dieser Nude hat ein Hauch von Pfirsich in Unterton und passt perfekt für den Stand. Gold gebräunte Haut mit nude nägel.
Back in the '70 and '80 it was absolutely normal to be topless on the beach of the French Riviera. I was also one of this girls back in the late '80 and I get my tan topless on the beach of Italy and France, back then everybody was topless, or most of the girls. This color bring me back in the past; nice gold brown skin with gorgeous nude nails.

Sand Tropez
Diese Farbe hat mich überrascht. Ein creme beige, erinnerte an Sand hat aber ein tick schwarz in Unterton die es traurig wirken lässt in der Flasche. Ich dachte nicht das es aufgetragen so toll aussieht.
This color really suprised me. This beige cream look like sand in the bottle. It has a 'bit black in the base that make it look sad, but surprise, surprise on the nails it looks glamorous and very nice. Another goergeus nude for the sommer.

Kisses & Bises
Dieser sheer Farbe ist die richtige Überraschung dieser Frühling Kollektion. In der Flasche unauffällig, aufgetragen eben ein sheer, unauffällig gewöhnliche sheer, nicht viel Glitter und Glamour. Aber die Überraschung war es als ich es drüber die andere Farbe der Kollektion ausprobiert habe. Es verleihe die Creme das besondere extra, sie funkeln an der Sonne und sehen fantastisch aus. Als layering Nagellack ein Muss weil es die Farbe nicht verfälscht.
The surprise in this collection is this sheer. In the bottle nothing special, on the nails either. The surprise comes when you lay the sheer on the other colors: WOW!! It gives the creams that special something and the nice this about it is that doesn’t falsify the color.

Unter der Stich: Essie ist eine gute Frühling Kollektion gelungen. Obwohl es hat immer noch die bekannte Pastell Farben, es hat auch viele Überraschungen. Meine Absolut Favorit ist Coat Azure, der micro-glitter gibt dieser himmel-blau eine besondere Note und es steht sicher gut auch auf Blondinen. Die zwei pink und lila creme sind ok wie auch die zwei nudes. Das absolut non-plus-ultra ist sicherlich Kisses & Bises, nicht weil es sheer ist sondern weil auf die andere Farben aufgetragen verleiht die Nägel das besondere etwas ohne es zu verfälschen. Der Glanz dieser Kollektion ist absolut fantastisch.
The bottom line: The Spring Collection by Essie is a success. Although there still the common pastel colors, there’s still surprises. My favorite is Coat Azure: the micro-glitter gives it a skyie touch to it and I can imagine that it look great on blondes to. The two pink and lilac creams are ok, and the other two nude are not sooo special but the real surprise is Kisses & Bises. Ok, it's a sheer but if you lay it over the other colors they all look great without losing the flair of the color. The shiny finish is absolut fantastic.
Deckkraft und Textur: Nach Essie Tradition, sind die lacken ein bisschen dick für meiner Geschmack. Sie lassen sich jedoch gut auftragen und ein wichtige Punkt bei dicke lacken ist sicherlich es gut austrocknen lassen zwischen die Schichten. Die Opazität ist sehr gut bei den creme und der sheer... es ist eben ein sheer aber trocknet schneller als die andere, das weil es sehr wenige Farbpigmente besitzt.
Opacity & Texture: As Essie tradition are the lacquer are a little too thick for my gusto. They are still smooth in the application and because they are a bit thick are advisable to let it dry well between lays. The opacity is very good by two coats; I always apply tree coats for better results. The sheer is of course dries faster this because it doesn’t have as much color pigment as the full color lacquer.
