All the participants of Little Flower School
On the 11th of august the Little Flower School participated at the School-Chess-Tournament with eight students. The tournament took place in a School in Hebri. That is is small town about two hours by bus from Ranganpalke. Apart from the participants the physical education teacher of the LFS and two volunteers, called Franz and Mo went to the event.After a welcome ceremony the games started at 12:00 am. Every participant had to play five matches. These matches were organized in groups recording to the age of the students. All of the LFS-participants did a very good job and won several games. This was possible because of the hard effords of the LFS teachers Mr. Ganapathi Bhat, Ms. Sindhu and Mr. Sachin.We are very proud that our School has one winner, called Sahana, who won a prize and will go to the district level tournament in Udupi, which will be held on 2th september.The result is due to the good preperation of the children. One evening before the tournament Mo gave a spontaneous chess lesson especially for our paricipants. The tricks they learnt on that evening were very useful during the tournament.All in all we are looking forward to the coming chess events.
