Der Begriff Thanksgiving wird den wenigsten hierzulande ein Begriff sein. Thanksgiving ist das größte Familienfest in den USA und sogar ein staatlicher Feiertag. Es lässt sich am ehesten mit dem bei uns bekannten Erntedankfest bezeichnen, jedoch in einer stark abgewandelten Form.
Thanksgiving findet am letzten Donnerstag des Novembers statt. Am Freitag nach Thanksgiving, dem sogenannten “Black Friday” gewährt der Einzelhandel traditionell sehr hohe Rabatte. Auch Gameloft springt auf diesen Zug auf und nutzt das amerikanische Volksfest zu einer großen Rabattaktion. Und mit Prinz of Persia Warrior Within und Splinter Cell Conviction gibt es zwei weitere sehr gute iOS-Umsetzungen von Konsolen und PC-Klassikern.
