Ich muss gestehen, dass ich mich bislang mit dem Thema Apps für Kinder noch gar nicht so richtig beschäftigt habe. Irgendwie hatte ich immer das Gefühl, dass KleinN mit seinen drei Jahren für so etwas eigentlich noch zu jung ist. Anderseits ist es ja die wahre Kunst, den Kindern einen entspannten Umgang mit dem ganzen Mediensturm beizubringen und das geht halt nicht mit Totalverweigerung. Also hab ich jetzt mal den Anfang gemacht und mir als allererstes App “Zähl die Tiere” von Appracadabra (toller Name!) runtergeladen. Hiermit kann man das Vorwärts- und Rückwärtszählen in 16 verschiedenen Sprachen lernen und üben.
KleinN und ich haben ausführlich getestet 
Immer wieder faszinierend zu sehen, wie schnell kleine Kinder mit iPhone und co umgehen können. Ergebnis: wir sind beide begeistert! Sowohl KleinN als auch mir gefallen die charmanten Illustrationen von Caroline Ellerbeck, die ohne viel Klimbim auskommen sondern stattdessen mit ihrem Retro-Touch bezaubern. Und uns beiden gefällt der subtile Humor, der in den einzelnen Bildern steckt! KleinN kichert jedes mal aufs neue, wenn die Frösche weghüpfen oder die Frau mit den Mäusen quietscht. Seine Lieblingszahl ist die Acht, da da die Fische so toll ins Glas springen! 
Einziges kleines Manko an der App: So ab Zahl 14/15 wird es für kleine Kinderfinger schwierig, die Tiere noch zu treffen, was dann etwas frustierend sein kann. Und selbst ich tu mich dann schwer…Das geht sicherlich auf dem iPad besser. Alles in allem haben die symphatischen Macher von Appracadabra aber eine tolle App entwickelt, die ich absolut weiterempfehlen kann! Erhältlich im App Store von Apple.

I have to admit that I haven’t really dealt with the topic Apps for kids yet. Somehow I’ve always had the feeling that Klein with his three years is still too young for this. On the other hand, the real trick is to teach children a relaxed way with this whole media storm and that simply doesn’t work when you avoid exposure at all. So I got started and downloaded my very first kids app called “Count the animals” by Appracadabra (great name!). You can use this to learn counting forwards and backwards in 16 different languages.
KleinN and I have tested it in detail 
It’s always fascinating to see how quick kids get acquainted with iPhone & co! Result: we are both ethusiastic about it! KleinN as well as me both like the charming illustrations by Caroline Ellerbeck which are not all blinky and flashy but convince with their lovely vintage touch. And both of us love the subtle humor in the different pictures. KleinN always starts giggling when the frogs are leaping or the woman with the mice starts squeaking. His favourite number is eight because then the fish are jumping!
Only downside of the app: ca. from number 14/15 onwards it gets really difficult for little children’s finger to tapp the animals what can be frustrating. And even myself has difficulties doing it. I guess that works better on an iPad. But all in all the lovely makers of Appracadabra developed a great app that I can absolutely recommend! Available in the Apple App Store.
