Bei "Lacke in Farbe...und bunt!" gibt's diese Woche was hellgrünes auf die Nägel. Grün besitze ich verhältnismässig wenig in meiner Sammlung, geschweige denn Hellgrün, doch genug Exemplare um euch heute dieses Schmuckstück zu zeigen.
This week's colour for "Lacke in Farbe...und bunt!" is light green. Compared with other colours, I don't own a lot of green shades, let along light green ones, but there's a big enough choice to show you this pretty little thing.
Laut Onlinewörterbuch bedeutet "givré" vereist oder "mit Eisblumen überzogen". Dabei stand auch "Verre givré", klingt ähnlich und bedeutet "Glas mit Zuckerrand". Finde ich auch sehr passend, den die Nägel sehen aus als hätten sie Zucker drauf! Bei dem Lack handelt es sich auch eher um einen Zufallskauf. Ich bestelle of mein Shampoo und so Zeugs bei Yves Rocher Online und manchmal muss halt der ein oder andere Lack mit um das Bestellminimum zu erreichen, ich fand das Grün ganz nett und klickte ihn in den Warenkorb. Dann beim Öffnen des Pakets, das grosse Staunen: Auf der Website stand nichts von Sandfinish oder irgendwas, nur ein popliges Foto. Ich war sofort verliebt und nach dem Swatch Stick Test war klar - der ist es!
According to online dictionaries "givré" means frosted or covered in frost. There was also the term "Verre Givré" that popped up, which would habe been a nice pun since it means glas with a sugar coated border. This polish was a very spontaneous purchase. I usually buy my shampoo and other stuff from Yves Rocher online and sometimes I add it one or another polishes to reach the minimum order amount. The green shade looked kinda cute, so in the cart it went. After unpacking and swatching the polish on a nail stick, I was sold: Nowhere on the site did the mention that this was a textured polish, you couldn't tell from the photo either. Not complaining - I love this!
Für ein deckendes Ergebnis und eine schöne Textur benötigt der Lack zwei Schichten, an sich kein Problem, würde YR nicht damit werben dass ihre Lacke One-Coater sind (stimmt teilweise sogar). Er trocknet wie für Sandlacke gewöhnlich recht schnell und hat ein wundervolles mattes Schimmersandfinish, einfach herrlich, nicht?
Einzig unpraktische an diesen Lacken: Die Grösse. Die Flasche ist winzig, der Pinsel dementsprechend, pro Nagel ist zwei Mal Farbe holen bei mir Pflicht. Und für die Grösse sind die Lacke auch nicht gerade günstig...
It took two coats for full coverage, which wouldn't be an issue if YR didn't advertise their polishes to be one coaters (which many of them actually are!). Polish dries super fast as textured polishes usually do and you get this amazing, matte-shimmery textured finish, wonderful, innit?
Only downside of these polishes: The size. The bottles are tiny and thus are the brushes. Per nail I had to dip twice to get enough paint on my nails. They're also not that cheap considering the size...
