The most modern temple that we visited in Thailand is at the same time a modern sculpture garden. Designed by Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) is still under construction. The white colour and glass stand for Buddha's purity and wisdom, the many hands in front of the entrance are reaching out for salvation. Inside the temple there's a huge wall painting with George Bush and Osama Bin Laden peering out of the eyes of an evil daemon, framed by Superman, Batman and Kalaschnikovs.
