Der 58. Wiener Opernball.
58th Vienna Opera Ball.Thursday evening Vienna Opera Ball took place at State Opera for the the 58th time - and for the second time with me. To perform befitting on the (social) floor (dress code for women "long ball gown" and for men "black tail") I had the honor of being equipped by two of my favorite Austrian brands for elegant occasions: Viennese traditional company for bridal & evening gowns Flossmann (now in the 4th generation) and Tyrolean company Swarovski, existing for more than 100 years. On the one hand I wanted to wear another color than I've already worn - red, black or yellow therefore have been excluded. On the other hand I wanted to color fit to the Opera Ball logo and the flower bouquets in the Opera. The result of this wish is this violet dream of chiffon & tulle by Flossmann with perfectly matching statement bracelet by Swarovski by Shourouk. What's going on at Vienna Opera Ball? You'll find everything on Austria's biggest ball or rather "the most important social event": From politicians & CEOs, figures from art & culture, nervous journalists, stressed photographers up to stars, starlets and marvels of plastic surgery. A really colorful bouquet of vanities. Fascinating to see, who is strolling through the Opera - and why and how. Amazing to see what can be demanded for some sausages (10 Euros), a glass of champagne (11 Euros) or a box (up to 18.500 Euros). But that's exactly what makes the Opera Ball. Together with the amazing performances of dancers and singers, the crowded floors, partly tropical temperatures, special Opera Ball doughnout and hot dog at four o' clock in the morning. All in all a really controversial event, which fascinates me and which I will attend once again ...
