In zwei Tagen erscheint bereits der erste Teil des DLCs von Pokémon Schwert und Schild. Doch bislang gab es noch keine genauen Angaben über den Schwierigkeitsgrad des DLCs, wo doch jeder sein Abenteuer der Galar-Region anders und ganz individuell bestritten hat. Nun hatte IGN die Möglichkeit in einer Vorschau von 30 Minuten das DLC etwas näher unter die Lupe zu nehmen und eine Antwort auf die Frage des Schwierigkeitsgrads zu finden.
Die Insel der Rüstung bietet in Pokémon Schwert und Schild eine Level-Skalierung. So können alle Trainer, die die Naturzone betreten haben, ob Veteran oder Anfänger, den DLC-Inhalt genießen.
„During our 30-minute hands-off preview of Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor DLC, we noticed that the first trainer battle were around level 60 – the same as the highest level Pokémon in the trainer’s party.
We asked Nintendo product marketing specialist Demetrius Boggs if this meant level scaling was in place, and he confirmed that Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Expansion Pass area’s trainers and wild Pokemon will in fact scale with your own Pokemon levels.
Not only that, but these areas can be accessed as soon as you reach the Wild Area of Pokémon Sword and Shield, just a few hours into the games. So whether you’ve just started or have already completed every post-game activity and have a full party of level-100 Pokémon, both parts of the expansion pass–The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra–will match your Pokémon’s level.“ – IGN
IGN fand heraus, dass die Pokémon im DLC ein vergleichbar hohes Level, wie jene aus ihrem Team, hatten. Ein Vertreter von Nintendo bestätigte ebenfalls, dass die Level der Pokémon entsprechend des vorherigen Spielfortschritts skaliert werden. So werden die wilden Pokémon ähnlich stark sein, wie die stärksten Pokémon in eurem Team. Unklar ist allerdings, ob die Skalierung fortlaufend ist oder ob die beim erstmaligen Betreten gespeichert wird. Dies müssen wir zum Release am 17. Juni 2020 herausfinden.
