Dieses Buch habe ich auf Englisch gelesen. Soweit ich weiß gibt es dieses Buch bzw. die beiden einzelnen Geschichten noch nicht auf Deutsch. Das Cover ist wie eh und je wunderschön gestaltet,weicht jedoch von der Perspektive von den drei Hauptbüchern ab. Das gefällt mir aber sehr gut, da es ja schließlich sozusagen ein Nebenbuch ist.stag
In dem Buch befindet sich die Kurzgeschichten The Prince und The Guard. Sowie die ersten zwei Kapitel aus The One und einiges an Zusatzmaterial, z.B. ein Interview mit Kiera Cass, Stammbäume und eine Auflistung aller Teilnehmer.
The Prince ist aus der Sicht Maxons geschrieben. Sie setzt kurz vor der Selection an seinem 19ten Geburtstag ein und endet nach dem ersten Gespräch mit den Kandidatinnen bzw. das alternative Ende endet nachdem Spaziergang mit America wo sie ihn tritt. Ich fand es wahnsinnig interessant mal was aus Maxons Sicht zu lesen und zu sehen wie er es alles empfand. Es ist toll wie fasziniert er vom ersten Moment an er von America ist und wie wichtig es für ihn ist die passende Frau zu finden. Auch wird der Druck seines Vaters nochmal deutlicher klar.The Guard setzt nach Halloween ein und endet nachdem Aspen America im Wald nach dem Angriff gefunden hat. Auch diese Kurzgeschichte hat mir geholfen Aspes Absichten besser zu verstehen. Man bekommt einen Einblick in sein Leben und erfährt einiges über den König. Trotz allem bin ich immer noch kein Aspen Freund. Er hatte schließlich seine Chance. Aber interessant war es alle mal. Der Ausschnitt aus The One hat mich natürlich halb wahnsinnig werden lassen, da ich jetzt unbedingt weiter lesen will! Ich bin so gespannt wie es ausgeht. Das Zusatzmaterial war ganz interessant, aber halt ich sag mal die übliche Standardausführung.
Dieses Buch kann man wirklich allen Fans der Selection Reihe empfehlen, die auch gerne mal eine neue Sichtweise kennen lernen wollen. Leider braucht man hierfür noch momentan gewisse Englisch Kenntnisse.
Fazit:Gute Ergänzung zu den Hauptbüchern
