D Mein alter Laptop hat mir zwar immer gute Dienste geleistet, ist aber langsam doch ziemlich Rentenreif. Und wie das so ist wird er nun eben durch einen jüngeren, hübscheren Laptop ersetzt. Allerdings wurde das für mich nicht so einfach wie erwartet. Erstmal hieß es natürlich Laptops vergleichen, da mir ein Macbook zu teuer erschien, habe ich mich für einen Dell Inspiron entschieden. Vielversprechend war das Teil auf jeden Fall auf dem Papier, aber als er nach fast drei Wochen des Wartens dann endlich bei mir zu Hause ankam war ich alles andere als zufrieden. Mein wenige Tage alter 950€ Laptop stürzte ständig ab, die Grafikkarte hatte so ihre Hänger und nach einer Woche konnte man in der Taskleiste (Home, Batterie, Wlan, Ton, ...) nichts mehr betätigen. Also habe ich bei Dell angerufen und hatte dann einen netten technischen Support, der mit mir die Hardware gecheckt hat. Beim Test kam raus: die Hardware ist gut aber das mitgelieferte Windows 10 fehlerhaft. Anstatt, dass Dell mir einen Techniker oder einen neuen Laptop anbot - wie das meines erachtens nach angemessen gewesen wäre - hieß es dann sinngemäß, das wäre mein Problem und nicht Dells Schuld. Ich habe mir dann gedacht: schön, wenn das nicht euer Problem ist, dann behalte ich das Teil eben nicht und dann ist es euer Problem.
So habe ich Dell und Windows die Freundschaft gekündigt. Das Notebook wurde dann wieder abgeholt und Ende. So bin ich dann letzten Endes doch bei der Konkurrenz gelandet: Apple. Und ich muss sagen, ich bin total glücklich damit, auch wenn ich nun sowohl die Vorurteile meines Studiengangs als auch die gegenüber Bloggern erfülle: das MacBook ist immer dabei.

But it wasn't as easy as I thought. First of all I started to compare different laptops, I thought a MacBook is too expensive so I bought a Dell Inspiron. It was pretty promising on the Paper, but when it came to my house after I waited nearly three weeks for it, it was a little bit disappointing. My just a few days old new laptop - that was worth 950€ by the way - crashed all the time, the videocard sometimes didn't work and after a week I couldn't click anything on the taskbar (Home, Battery, Wifi, Sound, ...) anymore. So I decided to call Dell and ask for help, I had a really friendly support which checked the hardware with me - on the phone. In the end the test showed: the hardware was okay, but the included operating system - Windows 10 - was defective. I thought it would be appropriate to send me a technician or even a new laptop to fix that problem, but it was just like: that's your problem not our fault. So I thought: well, if it's not your problem, I will make it to that, because I will just send it back.
That's the story how I resigned my friendship with Dell and Windows. In the end they picked the laptop up at my house. Finally I ended up at the competitive: Apple. And I'm really happy with it, even if it's a stereotype for my study path and also for being a blogger.
