Der Frühling ist da!! Wie jedes Jahr kann ich es kaum glauben! Frühling ist meine liebste Jahreszeit! Tatsächlich habe ich schon seit Winterbeginn an diesem Post gearbeitet, weil was hat man sonst im Winter zu tun, als sich auf das Frühjahr vorzubereiten ;-) Zu Beginn zeige ich euch zur ersten Orientierung die Pantone-Trendfarben dieser Saison und anschließend die meiner Meinung nach fünf größten Nagellacktrends dieses Frühlings. Doch zuerst holt euch einen Drink und einen Snack – der Post ist lange!
Happy Spring everyone!! I can’t believe spring is finally here! It is my favorite season! I have been working on this post since the beginning of winter because what else is there to do in winter than prepare for spring ;-) I am going to start with the Pantone trend colors of this season for a first orientation and then I will move on to the five big nail polish trends of this spring. But grab yourself a drink and a snack – it’s a long post!
Wie jede Saison hat Pantone auch für dieses Frühjahr die modischen Trendfarben definiert. Es ist ein frischer, kühler Mix aus zehn Farben und wir schauen uns jede einzelne dieser Farben in Nagellack-Form an. Es sind drei Blautöne enthalten: Aquamarine, Scuba Blue und Classic Blue. AQUAMARINE ist dem Namen entsprechend ein sehr helles Pastellblau und die führende Trendfarbe dieses Frühlings. Der Schimmerlack Robin Sent Me von Lynnderella entspricht genau dieser Schattierung. Der nächst dunklere Blauton ist SCUBA BLUE. Pantone vergleicht die Farbe mit einem tropischen Ozean und das finde ich sehr passend :-) Ein entsprechender Nagellack wäre Essie I’m Addicted. Dann kommen wir zu dem dunkelsten Blauton, den Pantone in augenscheinlich desillusionierter Manier CLASSIC BLUE nennt. Ich habe in meiner Kollektion dazu OPI Keeping Suzi At Bay gefunden. Es gibt einen einzigen Grünton: LUCITE GREEN, ein helles Grün mit stark türkisem Einschlag. Essie First Timer repräsentiert diese Farbe sehr gut. Die Farbpalette enthält auch einen Nude-Ton: TOASTED ALMOND. Ich würde die Farbe als einen hellen, kühlen Hautton beschreiben, wie z.B. in China Glaze Don’t Honk Your Thorn oder OPI Do You Take Lei Away? aus der neuen Hawaii Collection. Jetzt kommen wir zu den wärmeren Farben. Hier haben wir meinen Lieblingsfarbton aus den Frühjahrstrendfarben: STRAWBERRY ICE, ein warmes Pink. Ich finde, der Name könnte nicht passender gewählt sein! OPI Sorry I’m Fizzy Today wäre hier eine schöne Nagellack-Option. Auch Orange fehlt nicht bei den Frühlingsfarben: TANGERINE. Es ist ein heller Orangeton wie in China Glaze If In Doubt, Surf It Out. Machen wir einen Schritt weiter auf dem Regenbogen und kommen zu Gelb. Das Gelb dieses Frühjahrs heißt CUSTARD und ist ein kühles Pastellgelb. Picture Polish Mellow Yellow fällt genau in diese Kategorie. Schließlich ist auch die Farbe des Jahres 2015 MARSALA in der Farbpalette enthalten, ein rötlicher Braunton oder “erdiges Weinrot”, wie wir es in OPI I Knead Sour-Dough oder KBShimmer Men Are From Mars-ala finden. Die Trendfarben werden mit einem hellen, eisigen Grau abgerundet: GLACIER GREY. Dazu passt der Nagellack Anny Grey Elegance oder OPI Cement The Deal.
Like every season Pantone provides us with a selection of trend colors for this spring. It is a fresh, cool mix of ten colors and I’m going to show you each color represented by a nail polish. There are three shades of blue in the palette: Aquamarine, Scuba Blue and Classic Blue. AQUAMARINE, as its name suggests, is a very light pastel blue and also the leading trend color for this spring. The shimmer polish Lynnderella Robin Sent Me has this exact color. A little bit darker and brighter is SCUBA BLUE. Pantone compares this shade with a tropical ocean and I love this reference :-) A matching polish would be Essie I’m Addicted. And then we have the darkest blue from this selection which Pantone disenchantedly calls CLASSIC BLUE. OPI Keeping Suzi At Bay is a good example for this color. There is a single green among the spring trend colors: LUCITE GREEN, which is a light green with strong turquoise undertones. Essie First Timer represents this color very well. Pantone also gives us a very interesting shade of nude: TOASTED ALMOND. It can be best described as a very light, cool nude like in China Glaze Don’t Honk Your Thorn or OPI Do You Take Lei Away? from the new Hawaii Collection. Let’s move on to the warmer colors! Here’s my favorite out of the spring colors: STRAWBERRY ICE, a warm pink. I loooooove the color name, so perfect! OPI Sorry I’m Fizzy Today would be a nice nail polish option. There is an orange hue as well: TANGERINE. It is a light orange like in China Glaze If In Doubt, Surf It Out. This season’s yellow is called CUSTARD and is a cool pastel yellow. It is perfectly captured in Picture Polish Mellow Yellow. Of course Pantone also included the color of the year 2015 MARSALA, an earthy wine red. We can find this color in OPI I Knead Sour-Dough or KBShimmer Men Are From Mars-ala. The last color is GLACIER GREY, a light, icy grey. In my picture it is represented by Anny Grey Elegance. OPI Cement The Deal has a very similar color.
Die wichtigste Farbe dieses Frühlings ist also Aquamarine. Ich habe in meiner Sammlung einige Lacke gefunden, die ziemlich genau die Farbe Aquamarine wiedergeben: China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer aus der neuen Road Trip Collection, Ciaté Ferris Wheel (wunderschöner hellblauer Cremelack), Lynnderella Robin Sent Me (hellblauer Schimmerlack), KBShimmer Snow Way (Crelly mit weißem Glitter), KBShimmer Wind Swarm (Crelly mit rosa, lila, goldenem und weißem Glitter) aus der aktuellen KBShimmer Frühjahrskollektion und Hare Polish Rococo Grandeur (Crelly mit rosa und goldenem Glitter). Ich finde allerdings, dass man mit der Farbdefinition ruhig ein bisschen großzügiger sein und einfach Hellblau in allen Varianten zur Trendfarbe erklären kann. Eine kleine Schattierung dunkler – und somit schon in Richtung der Trendfarbe Scuba Blue und deshalb ebenso aktuell – sind der Schimmerlack Zoya Rebel, der Cremelack China Glaze Capacity to See Beyond aus der Giver Collection (mein persönlicher Favorit!) und der Mikroglitter Lynnderella Blue Sun Yellow Sky.
So the most important color of this spring is Aquamarine. I found several polishes in my stash, that fit perfectly in this category: China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer from the new Road Trip Collection, Ciaté Ferris Wheel (lovely pastel blue creme), Lynnderella Robin Sent Me (pastel blue shimmer), KBShimmer Snow Way (crelly with white glitter), KBShimmer Wind Swarm (crelly with pink, purple, gold and white glitter) and Hare Polish Rococo Grandeur (crelly with gold and pink glitter). But I guess we can be a little bit more generous and state that light blue in general is a big trend for this spring (remember Scuba Blue!). Slightly darker for example are the shimmer polish Zoya Rebel, the creme polish China Glaze Capacity to See Beyond (love this one!!) and the microglitter Lynnderella Blue Sun Yellow Sky.
Ich finde, dass auch Strawberry Ice besonders hervorzuheben ist, weil die Farbe unheimlich tragbar ist und generell in den Nagellackkollektionen der letzten Zeit immer wieder vertreten war. Die neue China Glaze Road Trip Collection enthält einen Cremelack in Strawberry Ice: China Glaze Pinking Out The Window. Auch KBShimmer hat sich von der Farbe inspirieren lassen und in seiner Frühjahrskollektion den holographischen Schimmerlack KBShimmer Blush Money herausgebracht. Es ist ein warmes, leicht pfirsichfarben angehauchtes Rosa mit goldenem Schimmer und zusätzlich linearem Holo-Effekt. Wenn man es gerne etwas leuchtender mag, ist China Glaze Petal To The Metal eine tolle Wahl. Und schließlich passt in diese Farbkategorie auch einer meiner Lieblingslacke der letzten Zeit: Picture Polish Paris. Er ist zwar eine Nuance dunkler als die von Pantone vorgestellte Schattierung, vermittelt aber durch die verstreuten holographischen Partikel wie kein anderer die Kombination von frischen Erdbeeren und eisiger Frische.
I feel like the Pantone Color Strawberry Ice is also very important when it comes to the nail polish trends of this spring. The color is very wearable and in the last time many brands have released shades that fit in this color category. The new China Glaze Road Trip Collection features a creme polish in Strawberry Ice: China Glaze Pinking Out The Window. KBShimmer got inspired by the color as well and released the holographic shimmer KBShimmer Blush Money. It is a peachy rose colored polish with gold shimmer and a subtle holographic effect. If you prefer brighter hues, check out China Glaze Petal To The Metal. And finally let’s talk about my favorite: Picture Polish Paris. It might be slightly darker than the Pantone shade, but because of the scattered holo particles the polish perfectly represents the mixture of fresh strawberries and ice-cold refreshment.
Wenn man sich die Frühjahrskollektionen der großen Nagellackmarken ansieht, lässt sich auch ein Farbtrend ableiten, der sozusagen Nagellack-spezifisch ist: rauchige Lavendel- und Violetttöne! Diese Schattierungen sind schon seit einiger Zeit groß in Mode, denken wir nur an Parlez-vous OPI?, OPI I’m Feeling Sashy, Essie Warm & Toasty Turtleneck und China Glaze All Aboard. Doch dieses Frühjahr strahlen sie uns gleichzeitig aus mehreren Kollektion entgegen und man kann aus einer Fülle von Varianten auswählen. Die OPI Hawaii Collection enthält zwei dieser grau-violetten Farbmischungen: den etwas lebhafteren Farbton OPI Lost My Bikini In Molokini und die gedämpftere, stärker in Richtung Grau gehende Schattierung OPI Hello Hawaii Ya?. Auch Orly setzt in der Sugar High Collection auf diese Farbtöne: Orly Candy Shop ist ein verwaschenes, warmes Mauve und Orly Sweet Dreams ein warmgrauer Lack mit lila Schimmer. Sogar Chanel ist auf den Farb-Waggon aufgesprungen und präsentiert uns mit Chanel Tenderly eine süße Melange aus warmem Taupe und Lila!
If we look at the spring collections of the big nail polish brands we will find one specific color that keeps popping up: smokey lavender and purple tones! These shades have become widely popular in the last years. Just think of Parlez-vous OPI?, OPI I’m Feeling Sashy, Essie Warm & Toasty Turtleneck and China Glaze All Aboard. But this spring there is an even bigger variety of different hues to choose from. The OPI Hawaii Collection features two grey-ish purples: the more vivid shade OPI Lost My Bikini In Molokini and the more subdued shade OPI Hello Hawaii Ya?. Orly also included this color in the Sugar High Collection: Orly Candy Shop is a warm, smokey mauve and Orly Sweet Dreams a warm grey with lilac shimmer. Even Chanel jumped on the bandwagon and gives us with Chanel Tenderly a sweet blend of warm taupe and lavender.
Im Gegensatz zu letztem Frühling, der hauptsächlich geprägt war von Lacken in Cremekonsistenz, finden wir dieses Jahr eine Fülle an pastellfarbenen Schimmerlacken. Besonders interessant ist kontrastierender Schimmer wie beispielsweise türkiser Schimmer in einem gelben Lack oder rosa Schimmer in einem hellblauen Lack. Bis jetzt waren derartige Raffinessen so ziemlich ausschließlich bei Indie-Marken zu finden, doch mittlerweile versuchen sich auch die großen Nagellackmarken daran. Die Zoya Delight Collection enthält drei Lacke, die in genau diese Kategorie fallen: Zoya Daisy (frisches Gelb), Zoya Leslie (weiches Lila) und Zoya Rayne (frisches Hellblau). Alle drei Lacke zeichnen sich durch einen türkisen Schimmer aus. China Glaze hat ebenfalls Pastelllacke mit interessantem Schimmereffekt herausgebracht: China Glaze Wanderlust (helles Lila), Dashboard Dreamer (Aquamarinblau), Sun’s Up Top Down (Gelb) und Pack Lightly (helles Lachsrosa). Alle Lacke haben einen warmen rosagoldenen Schimmer. Wunderschön sind auch SuperChic Lacquer Liquid Nitro Queen (lila mit grünem Schimmer) und Cold Hands Warm Hugs (hellblau mit rosa Schimmer). Ich persönlich freue mich in diesem Frühjahr vor allem auf die neuen schimmernden Gelbtöne!
While last spring was characterized by bright creme polishes, this year the trend goes to pastel shimmer polishes – keyword being ‘ethereal’! Really nice is contrasting shimmer like for example green shimmer in a yellow polish or pink shimmer in a blue polish. Up to now, mostly indies would give us such sophistication but this spring also the big players like Zoya and China Glaze are giving it a try. The Zoya Delight Collection features three pastel shimmers: Zoya Daisy (refreshing yellow), Zoya Leslie (soft lavender) and Zoya Rayne (vivid baby blue). All three polishes bear a lovely turquoise shimmer. China Glaze also released several shimmery pastel shades: China Glaze Wanderlust (ultra light lilac), Dashboard Dreamer (aquamarine), Sun’s Up Top Down (warm yellow) and Pack Lightly (salmon pink). These four polishes have a soft rose gold shimmer running through them. Personally I adore SuperChic Lacquer Liquid Nitro Queen (lilac with green shimmer) and Cold Hands Warm Hugs (baby blue with pink shimmer). As for the main stream brands, I am especially excited for the new shimmery yellows!
Für mich einigermaßen überraschend ist der wieder aufflammende Trend zu Flakies und er kommt in allen Varianten. Auf der einen Seite haben wir Farblacke, die zusätzlich angereichert sind mit Flakes und auf der anderen Seite gibt es aber auch vor allem bei Indie-Herstellern eine Vielzahl an transparenten Überlacken, die irisierende Flakes mit unterschiedlichen Farbreflexionen enthalten wie z.B. Girly Bits What Low Buy? und Colors by Llarowe The Silence. Ein toller Effekt lässt sich erzielen, wenn man Flakes über einer sehr dunklen Farbe aufträgt und diesen Look mattiert. Am coolsten finde ich allerdings die neuen Metall-Flakies in Duo/Multichrome-Optik. ILNP hat eine umfangreiche Palette herausgebracht, die nichts zu wünschen übrig lässt! Ich habe mir ILNP Brilliance, Luna, Cold Fusion, Phoenix und Supernova gekauft :-)
Flakies are coming back and they’re coming back with a vengeance! I’m quite surprised about this recurring trend but I’m certainly not complaining because I love flakies! There are color polishes which are enriched with flakes and translucent top coats with iridescent flakes like for example Girly Bits What Low Buy? and Colors by Llarowe The Silence. You can get a really nice effect when you apply a flakie top coat over a dark color and mattify it. The latest invention of indie polish makers are metallic flakes with a multichrome effect to them. I go absolutely crazy for these polishes!! ILNP released a huge range. I already got myself ILNP Brilliance, Luna, Cold Fusion, Phoenix and Supernova :-)
