The sporty month for the youngest Ashram members
In month of December lots of sports events took place at our beloved Little Flower School, which is administrated by the Seon Ashram. All of our students participated in a lot of different disciplines. Starting with team competitions like kho-kho and volleyball the activities on the school ground had their climax with the yearly sports day.

All in all the students had five days with a well filled sporty program. All the 300 Little Flower Athletes were separated into four houses, named like the seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Every team had their representing and coaching teacher. From lower Kindergarten till 10th standard everyone took part in the events.

The team matches started on the 10th of December with the kho-kho tournament. This was the first accession for the high school boys and girls of spring, summer, autumn. All the teams were trying to put a lot of effort to these first games. Due to the adage “the first impression is the most important” the Little Flower sports season opened with kho-kho matches full of enthusiasm.
The second sports event was the kabbadi competition. It was followed by the volleyball tournament for the boys and throwball tournament for the girls. Smaller children were supporting the high school students while playing. As each of the children belonged to one of the four houses, every team had their own aficionados. Especially during the single competitions on the sports day itself, the seasonal group feeling has surpassed the single win.

In the beginning of the sports day chosen team members of each group went in the morning to the nearby temple. The main monk of the temple lit the flambo and presented it to the accompanying headmistress of our school. The fire was passed to the athletic torch. The different team members carried this spiritual light in a relay way back to the school group wise. The ceremony on the school ground began with the march and the flag hoisting by the special guest, Mrs. Lucy Saldana, H.M. Mrs. Veena Shedikaje, chief supervisor Mrs. Jakin Bin, supervisor Mr. Bin Baby and the S.P.L., Melissa. As soon as the athletic torch reached the Olympic fire pod was enlighted by the blessed flame. The following disciplines were single sports, like long jump, high jump, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, running races in 100, 200, 400, 600 and 800 meters and relay racesEven the smallest children of the Lower and Upper Kindergarten were participating in the games. For them there were special activities like frog race, throwing the ball, elephant race etc..

In the afternoon of the first and second sports day all the winner, rang 1, 2 and 3 were announced and requested to come to the victory stand. The teachers of the school honoured them with the medals. A lot of students got more than one price. There were even four champions, who won five first places, Master Shaban, Master Renvil, Baby Ashwini and Baby Mecvita.

During and after the games every school member was very happy and enjoying the time together. A time of sport, which keeps the body fit and healthy. With this fitness our students can now start into the new studying period. All the staff members were so co-operative, worked very well tirelessly. We can say it was a great success for all of us, in which we all took part in forming it.
