Cannes. Die Filmfestspiele in Cannes waren auch dieses Jahr in aller Munde und so wurde ich aufgefordert an ein beliebiges Red Carpet Outfit nachzustylen mit etwas kleinerem Budget als die ganz großen. 100 Euro von Deals zur Verfügung gestellt, dachte ich der Spaß kann jetzt richtig los gehen. Aber so leicht wie ich mir das vorgestellt habe, war es leider nicht. Erst einmal musste ein Star und ein Outfit gefunden werden, was mir zusagte. Da es ja eigentlich Sommer sein sollte, wollte ich eine sommerliche Variante und nach ewigem Überlegen entschied ich mich für den Look von Cannes Jurorin Uma Thurman. Sie trug ein wunderschönes Spitzenkleid von Dolce & Gabanna und hinreißende Riemchensandalen vom Jimmy Choo, da Uma eine meiner Lieblingsschauspielerinnen ist und mir ihr lässiger Stil immer schon zusagte kam dieser Look wie bestellt. Dann sollte es nun losgehen mit dem Shoppen. Ein Spitzenkleid zu finden sollte ja nicht so schwer sein, dachte ich mir, aber nachdem ich ASOS online auf den Kopf stellte und selbst dort kein passendes Kleid fand, griff ich auf den guten alten Zara Online Shop zurück und stieß auf dieses wirklich schöne Spitzenkleid, auch wenn es nicht ganz so lang und eng sitzt wie das von Uma war ich sofort hingerissen und es ging ab in meinen virtuellen Einkaufskorb. Da war das Hauptstück meines Outfits auch schon gefunden. Nun sollten es noch Riemchensandalen sein und da ich immer der Meinung bin, dass selbst ein Nachgestylter Look immer noch Ich sein soll entschied ich mich für eine etwas derbere Variante der Riemchensandale bei H&M. So schnell waren dann die 100 Euro auch schon weg und ich fühlte mich wie bei Shoppingqueen und ohne Acessoires. Was sagt ihr zu meinem fast vollendeten Cannes Look?
Cannes. The film festival in Cannes hit another round and everybody was talking about well the movies and the looks. I was invited by Deals to enter a a little challenge. I was supposed to style a look a celebrity had worn with a lower budget of 100 Euros. I thought oh yes, the fun may begin. But it was a little harder, then I imagined. First things first I had to decide which celebrity and which look I was going to style. After clicking through so many pictures, that I couldnt think clear I saw this beautiful day red carpet look Uma Thurman pulled of. She wore a beautiful lace dress from D&G and really cute sandals by Jimmy Choo and I think she looked breath taking. Not to much effort and still a fabulous look. I am a huge Uma fan so I loved the fact, that I could do her look. I decided to take a look at Asos and was sure to find a perfect lace dress on budget there, but no it was a little disaster. After a little disappointment there I went on to the good old Zara Online Shop and found this beautiful lace dress, that is not quiet the same as Umas but still very similar from the cut and the idea. It went straight ahead to my online shopping basket. I found my main piece puhh!! The shoes were a compromise I had to make. I think even if you restyle a look you should still own it and make it your own, so I decided to go for sandals as well, but not as filigreeing as Mrs. Thurmans Jimmy Choos. And there I was 100 Euros lighter and online exhausted. I then realized I had no real accesoire and decided to own it. Shopping Queen wouldnt be the show for me, but I really love the end result and a challenge is always taken.
