Weihnachten war ich mal wieder allein zu Haus, nicht ganz wie Kevin, denn mein Hund hat mir Gesellschaft geleistet, aber so hatte ich viel Zeit zu surfen und bin auf die wunderbaren Amyröcke nach dem Schnittmuster von jolijou gestoßen. Das Amy ebook lädt man sich einfach über Farbenmix runter und so konnte ich schon am nächsten Tag, dem 23.Dezember, mit dem Nähen beginnen. Ich habe gleich drei Röcke zugeschnitten und sofort mit dem Zusammennähen begonnen. Statt eines Reiverschlusses habe ich einen Jerseybund eingenäht. Für zwei der Röcke habe ich dafür ein altes Tshirt zerschnitten, was leider keine gute Idee war, da beide Bnde doch etwas locker sitzen. Nach dem ersten Probetragen habe ich festgestellt, dass ich die zwei nochmal umändern muss, entweder ich näh die Jerseybünde etwas kleiner oder nähe ein dünnes Gummiband oben ein, das muss ich mir nochmal überlegen. Schwierig waren mal wieder die doofen Säume, ich wünsch mir wirklich eine Schneiderpuppe mit Rockabrunder, dies würde das Säumen eindeutig erleichtern. Jedenfalls stell ich mir das immer in meinen fantastischen Nähträumen so vor.Ich liebe die blütenumrankten Hosentaschen, die sind einfach toll, und leider sieht man im zweiten Foto, dass ich noch sehr an den Hüften abnehmen muss, so schön sieht das nämlich noch nicht aus ;)Als Stoffe habe ich einmal schwarzen Stretchjeans, rot-weiß bedruckten festen Ikeastoff und türkis-hellblauen Stoff, den ich nicht genauer beschreiben kann, genommen.Also das werden ganz sicher nicht meine letzten Amyröcke sein.
Christmas I was home alone, not quite like Kevin, as I did have my dog for company, therefore I had lots of time to surf the net and discovered the lovely Amy skirts made from jolijou's pattern. You can download the Amy ebook from the Farbenmix onlineshop, and so could already start sewing the next day, 23th December. I cut out three skirts and immediately started sewing. Instead of a zipper I put in a jersey waistband. For two of the skirts I cut up an old tshirt, which wasn't a really good idea, since both waistbands sit somewhat loose. After wearing them the first time I realized that I would have to sew them a little tighter, I will either make the jersey waistbands a little smaller or sew in a thin elastic band. Not sure which I'll do yet. And of course the most difficult part was folding and sewing the hem, I really wish I had a tailor's dummy with a skirt rounder, it would definitely make it easier. At least that's what I envision in my vivd fantastic sewing dreams.I love the pockets with the flowers around them, they are just great, and unfortunately you can see in the second picture that I still have to lose weight, especially around the hips, as that doesn't look to nice. For the skirts I used black stretch denim, a sturdy red and white printed Ikea fabric and some nondescript turquoise-blue fabric. These definitely won't be the last Amy skirts I'll be making.
