Am zweiten Weihnachtstag bekam ich Besuch von einer Freundin und, wie solls auch anders sein, habe wir uns an die Nähmaschine gesetzt. Sie hat noch nie an einer gesessen, mit der Hand hat sie allerdings schon schöne Nettigkeiten genäht. Nun wollte sie einen Gürtel, damit haben wir begonnen. Sie hat erfreulicherweise im Vorhinein alles zugeschnitten, brave Nähanfängerin ;)
Es ging auch recht flott, die erste gerade Naht hat sie super hingekriegt.
Dann haben wir noch ein Kissenbezug für sie genäht, dies hat sie auch gänzlich allein genäht.
Zum Schluss haben wir uns an ein Pimpicuff gewagt, gut, das habe ich größtenteils genäht, aber es ist auch etwas kompliziert mit dem Sticken. Bei ihren schmalen Handgelenken hätten wir das ganze auch etwas kleiner nähen können.
Ach, ich liebe das Eulenmotiv.
On the second day of Christmas my dear friend came to me ;D and we sewed a lot (Please sing the christmas song the part with the ring in your head while you read this ;) )
She's never sat in front of a sewing machine, but she has sewn lovely little things by hand. Now she wanted a belt, with that we started our sewing session. Fortunately she had prepared everything already and we could start sewing straight away, a very good little sewing pupil. It went pretty well and she managed to sew her first straight lines. Then we sewed a cushion cover for her which she also made all by herself.
Finally we went on to make the pimpicuff which, I have to admit, I mostly sewed, but it is a bit difficult with all the embroidery and stuff.
With her slender wrists we could have easily made it a little smaller.
Alas, I love the owl motive.
