Wer es nach San Diego schafft, sollte sich unbedingt die Zeit nehmen, mal durch Old Town San Diego zu schlendern! Ich muss zugeben, San Diego stand eigentlich gar nicht so richtig auf dem Plan, doch unverhofft hat es uns für einige Tage nach LaJolla ins Inn by the Sea verschlagen und von dort in die Innenstadt von San Diego.
If you´re visiting San Diego you should probably take the time to stroll through Old Town San Diego! I have to admitt, that originally San Diego wasn´t planned as a stop but sometimes life has other plans and so we stranded a couple of days in LaJolla Inn by the Sea and discovered this city from there.
Und da Bilder mehr erzählen können, als ich in Worte fassen könnte, gibt es ein wenig zu gucken für Euch. Soviel sei gesagt: uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, man konnte quasi in jeder Ecke spüren, wie das Leben damals wohl gewesen sein musste um 1800 plus minus.
And as pictures can tell more than words could ever do you´ll get to see some. Just one thing: we liked it a lot and in every corner you could feel how life must have been in the 1800s.
Besonders lecker gegessen haben wir übrigens in der Casa de Reyes, inmitten des Platzes Fiesta de Reyes, auf dem Veranstaltungen wie Folkoretänze und ähnliches stattfinden.

The stage in the middle of the Fiesta de Reyes plaza, adjacent to the Casa de Reyes restaurant, features free, live entertainment every night of the week. Every weekend Old Town's favorite mariachi band and beautiful folklorico dancers make for an unforgettable experience.
Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, dieser Ecke einen Besuch abzustatten. Es werden täglich zwei geführte Touren angeboten, bei denen die Geschichte der Stadt und deren Menschen erzählt werden.
