It was a fantastic day I spent in Salzburg at RedBull last week and I enjoyed every second. I was in the lucky situation for a beautiful tour of Hangar7 – and got so many information that it was wonderful. The outfit for this special day was black pants by Zara, highheels by Louboutin and a received a special team T-Shirt from the RedBull-Formula1-Racing-Team.
The famous Hangar7 is located on the opposite site of the public part of the Salzburg Airport and about 5km from the city of Salzburg. You will find public parking spaces outside without charge and just crossing the street will let you enter the famous Hangar7 – including “The Flying Bulls (world of aeronautics)” also with their Formula1-Racing-Team exhibition, the Gourmet Ikarus Restaurant, a cafe and a bar – perfect for events.
As most of the Red-Bulls project architecture is always a main target and this location is simply incredible. I do not know many places in the world, where you get the chance to come so close to planes, helicopter or even the Formula1 racing cars (from the last seasons) or special charity cars.
I read a lot about Hangar7 before going to Salzburg, but the first impression is simply gorgeous. If you want to visit the famous Ikarus Restaurant, you should make your reservation a few weeks in advance, their menues will change frequently, depending on their guest chefs they have.
I can recommend to you to spend a minimum of half a day at Hangar7, depending on your interest. Why not starting with a wonderful breakfast in the morning, taking then a tour of the exhibition and finishing it later with a great business lunch.

(German version) Es war ein fantastischer Tag in Salzburg bei RedBull in der letzten Woche und ich konnte jede Sekunde genießen. Ich war in der glücklichen Situation für einen tollen Besuch des Hangar-7 mit so vielen Informationen und Einblicken. Das Outfit für diesen Tag war wirklich besonders, schwarze Hose von Zara, Schuhe Louboutin und dazu das passende Team T-Shirt vom RedBull-Formel-1-Racing-Team.
Der berühmte Hangar7 ist auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite vom öffentlichen Part des Salzburg Airports gelegen, ca. 5km von der Salzburger Innenstadt. Es gibt im Außenbereich öffentliche, kostenlose Parkplätze, von denen man nur die Straße überqueren muss und direkt den Hangar-7 betreten kann – mit “The Flying Bulls (Welt der Aeronautics) genauso wie dem Formel-1-Racing-Team”, dem Gourmet Restaurant “Ikarus”, einem Café und einer Bar, perfekt für Events.
Wie die meisten Dinge aus dem RedBull Konsortium, ist die Architektur nur ein absoluter Hingucker und einfach unglaublich. Ich kenne wenige Orte in der Welt, wo man die Chance bekommt, so direkt an Flugzeuge, Helikopter oder besondere Formel 1 Wagen der Gegenwart oder Vergangenheit, sowie Charity-Wagen heranzukommen.
Ich habe bereits vorab einiges über den Hangar-7 gelesen, bevor es nach Salzburg ging, aber der erste Eindruck ist umwerfend. Wenn ihr das berühmte Ikarus Restaurant besuchen wollt, solltet ihr eine Reservierung einige Wochen bereits im Vorfeld machen, die Menues wechseln regelmäßig, abhängig vom jeweils besonderen Chef-Koch.
Ich kann euch empfehlen, einen halben Tag für Red-Bull-Hangar-7 mindestens einzukalkulieren, abhängig von euren Interessen. Warum nicht auch einmal mit einem Frühstück im Café beginnen, dann eine Tour durch die Ausstellung und zum Ende ein tolles Business-Lunch.
Für mich war es eine wundervolle Zeit in Salzburg im Hangar7 von Red Bull (und nicht nur wegen der Getränke), aber die Vorliebe für besondere Events, extreme Sportarten und mehr gefällt mir einfach.
