After a long and punishing busride with several stopovers we arrived in Krabi Town. When we found 5 more people who wanted to go to Rai Leh (we had to wait for a bit) we drove to the little penninsula with a longtail boat. Being cut off by tall limestone cliffs from the mainland Rai Leh is only accessible by boat. There's a real Robinson-vibe around the island. The impressive rocky landscape and the beautiful beaches make the place a mekka for climbers and sunbathers alike. Not like other islands at the Andaman coast there are only few big resorts here and the beaches are far from crowded. Being infected by the Indiana Jones fever we climbed to a small lagoon inside a mountain. Totally exhausted but happy we worked on our tan until sunset afterwards.
