Serial pedophile and mega-resort investor Alexander Trofimov is free again. Also a German national pedophile, Alexander Watrin, was freed the same day: he had served a 7-years sentence.
Trofimov walked free from Preah Sihanouk Provincial Prison on Tuesday after serving slightly more than half of his previously reduced sentence for sex crimes against 17 underage girls.
Watrin served nearly six years of his 7-years sentence. Both pedophiles have been targeting children from impoverished families around Preah Sihanouk.

Trofimov and Watrin were released following a Royal pardon. Alexander Trofimov aka Stanislav Molodyakov, was one of 360 prisoners granted amnesty by Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.
Trofimov originally sentenced for 17 years.
The former chairman of Russian-led Koh Pous (Snake Island) Investment Company was first accused in 2007 of purchasing sex from six girls between six and 16 years of age. After the first set of charges, 13 more girls accused the now 45-year-old Russian businessman of sexually abusing them. He was convicted of sex crimes against 17 of them.
Trofimov was originally sentenced to 17 years in jail but his term was slashed to seven years in August 2010.
Interpol warrant for rape of six underaged girls in Russia.
He is also wanted in Russia in connection with child sex allegations there. There is an Interpol warrant, but the Cambodian government does not seem to deliver the Russian back in his native land. The authorities allegedly did not know his current whereabouts.
Watrin’s first sentence: 1o years.
In October 2006, Watrin was sentenced to 10 years in prison: the Cambodian Court of Appeal reduced this sentence to three years in 2009.
Huge privileges in prison.
Following his conviction, Trofimov was provided with a private cell and was allowed to leave the prison for nights on the town to check on his investment. Obervers also mention that the hearings during his several trials were circus-like.
In June 2009, during his stay in prison, Trofimov allegedly bribed a Justice Ministry official with 250’000 USD to get a falsified extradition request to secure his release from prison.
Meanwhile start protests of NGO.
Criticism from rights groups, observers and the US Embassy is mounting over the shortened sentences, specially Moldokyakov’s early and somewhat secret release.
