Pimp your Blog: Interessant für euch?

Wie einige von euch ja schon wissen bin ich Grafikerin mit meiner eigenen Firma Seiten-Wechsel und glühender WordPress-Fan. Deswegen bin ich ja auch bei der Blogst-Konferenz dabei, wo ich einen Workshop zum Thema WordPress halte. Bei diesem Workshop wird es um die Basics gehen, wie installiere ich einen Blog, was ist eine Datenbank, welche Plugins brauche ich für den Start usw.

As some of you know already I am a graphic designer with my own company “Seiten-Wechsel ” and a glowing fan of WordPress. That´s why I’m part of the Blogst conference in Hamburg, where I hold a workshop on WordPress. This workshop will address the basics of how to install a blog, what is a database, which plugins I need to start, etc.

Während der Diskussion mit anderen Bloggern habe ich festgestellt, dass es auch viele Mitbloggerinnen und Mitblogger gibt, die zwar bereits ein selbstgehostetes WordPress-Blog haben, aber viele Funktionen inzwischen vergessen haben oder gern neue Plugins installieren möchten und nicht wissen, was empfehlenswert ist.
Ich würde gern aus meinem reichen Erfahrungsschatz plaudern und eine wöchentliche Kolumne “Pimp your Blog” einführen in der ich mich jedoch ausschliesslich den technischen Fragen widmen möchte. Für alles andere gibt es bereits tolle Workshops, wie z.B. Blogging Your Way von Holly Becker

During the discussion with other bloggers I have noticed that there are also many who already have a self-hosted WordPress blog. But many features have been forgotten or some would like to install new plug-ins and do not know what is best.
I would like to talk out of my rich experience and introduce a weekly column “Pimp your blog.” In this column i want to show you how to technically improve your Blog. For refining your blogging skills there are already wonderful workshops like Holly Beckers Blogging Your Way E-Course.
