Ich habe mich auch von den tollen Börsen auf den Blogs motivieren lassen und habe mir das Portemonnaie-ebook von machwerk gekauft. Besonders regenbogenbuntes Börsen haben es mir angetan.
Also, nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten, drei Anläufe, zahlreichem Auftrennen und neu zuschneiden und wütend in die Ecke schmeißen, ging nach all diesen Dingen und nach endlichem kapieren der Anleitung doch recht flott von der Hand. Und ich dachte, ich könnte das mal locker flockig nähen, hab ja mein eigenes Portemonnaie-Schnittmuster schon vor zwei Jahren selbst erstellt und über 40 davon genäht. Als Beweis hier. Na, da wurde ich wirklich eines besseren belehrt. Ich bin halt doch noch Nähanfänger.
I was motivated to buy the purse-ebook by machwerk by all the lovely purses on different blogs. regenbogenbuntes especially inspired me.
So, after having some difficulties at the start, three new attempts, several unpicking of seams and cutting new pattern pieces and throwing it in to the corner with disgust, after all this and after finally understanding the instructions the sewing was done pretty quickly. And I thought it would be easy peasy, as I did develop a pattern for a purse myself two years ago which I have sewn over 40 times now. As proof here. Well, I was taught otherwise. I am obviously still just a sewing beginner.
Ich kann trotz allem das ebook von Machwerk empfehlen, nur sollte es wohl nicht das erste sein, was man überhaupt näht und vielleicht auch nicht das Lieblings-streichelstöffchen, das man sich für was besonderes aufgehoben hat.
Verziert habe ich es mit der pimpicuff-Stickerei, die ich immer noch super finde. Dafür musste ich die Länge des Außenteils verlängern, auweia, Veränderung des Schnittmusters hat mir das Portemonnaie auch übel genommen. Hätte es besser wissen sollen.
Auch finde ich die Reiverschlußtäschchen ein bisschen labbrig, auch wenn da Vliesline H250 aufgebügelt ist, beim nächsten Portemonnaie werd ich mir was stärkeres draufbügeln oder stattdessen wieder auf mein altbewährtes Fancy Canvas/Lkw Plane zurückgreifen.
Will jemand raten, welche Stoffe ich im Portemonnaie benutzt habe? ;)
Dann habe ich noch einer Freundin ein Schminktäschchen genäht, mit schönem Ikeastöffchen.
Nevertheless, I can recommend the ebook by machwerk, yet it should not be the first thing you ever sew and it should not be your beloved fabric you have saved up for a special project.
I decorated my purse with the pimpicuff-embroidery I still love so much. I had to adjust the length of the outside, changing the pattern, of course the purse didn't like that. Should have known better.
After using the purse I noticed that the zipper puches aren't sturdy enough even though I ironed on stiff interfacing. For my next purse I will either iron on something a lot stiffer or go back to my well-tried vinyl.
Does somebody want to guess, which fabrics I used? ;)
Then I made a make-up bag for a friend with a lovely ikea fabric.
