Also es ist offiziell: OPI kehrt zurück nach Hause! Nach Jahrelangen Reisen als Gast in andere Länder hat sie endlich wieder der Weg in der Heimat gefunden. Was für Farben! Was von tolle finishing’s. Ich habe immer die Formulierung von OPI geliebt, weil sie deckend ist, einfach aufzutragen und schnell in der Trocknung. In diese Kollektion probiert OPI neue wegen, die Zauberwort heiss: „Jelly“ Mehr demnächst.
OPI ist ja bekannt für gemischte Kollektion: glitter, shimmer, sheer, creme und eben jelly (Gel artig).
Heute sind die shimmer dran. Shimmer haben kleinste partikel in den Lack. Die Partikel können die gleiche Farbton haben als der Lack selbst, muss aber nicht und sie können in der grösse auch unterschiedlich sein: je kleiner der partikel, je feiner der Effek. Danke seine glanz können shimmer auch ohne Oberlack aufgetragen werden, ich empfehle es aber nicht. Leider sind die Fotos nicht so gekommen wie gewollt, bitte entschuldigen sie mich.
It’s Totally Fort Worth It (silver/grey shimmer)
Es ist mehr ein sheer als ein shimmer: sheer-frost. Sheer ist wenn den Lack durchsichtlich bleibt, bzw. man sieht den freien Rand; frost hingegen ist wenn die Linie vom Pinsel immer gut erkennbar sind.
Ich bin nie ein Fan gewesen von solchem Finish. Darum kann ich dazu auch nicht viel mehr dazu sagen. Ideal für Frauen die nicht so auffallende Manicure mögen.
I Vant to Be A-Lone Star (baby blue shimmer)
Einen zarten baby-blau die aber auch ins grau geht, je nach Lichteinfall. Beim blossen Auge sieht man der shimmer nicht so toll, glauben sie mir aber, ein micro-shimmer ist da.
Austin-tatious Turquoise (turquois shimmer)
Errinerte mich sofort an der Turqouise von letzte Sommer : Catch me in the Net. Austin-tatious Turquoise ist aber dezenter und hat nicht so viel glitter. Ich finde es OK
Deckkraft: alle 3 shimmer brauchen mindestens 3 schickten um eine gute Opazität zu erreichen. It’s Totaly Forth Worth It ist auch nach 3 schichten nicht deckend. Es kann aber zum Beispiel auf andere creme benutzt werden.
Unter der Strich: Ich liebe shimmer, aber nur wenn deckend ist. Die 3 shimmer dieser Kollektion sind schön, aber nicht neues, obwohl ich sagen muss das ich keine ähnliche Lack zu I Vant to Be A Lone Star besitzen. It’s Totaly Fort Worth it ist gar nicht mein geschmack und turquoise sind nie meine Farbe gewesen und sie werden es auch nie werden. An blondinen können sicher dieser Farben besser passen als meine olivenbraune haut und kastanien Haaren.
Launch: Texas Kollektion ist erhältlich ab 02 Februar in der USA, auf dem Schweizer Markt kann ab Ende Februar erhältlich und kann in ausgewählte Nail Studio gekauft werden oder kann bei mir für Fr. 23.- + Porto bestellt werden.
Bitte bedenkt dass die Farbe leicht abweichen kann abhängig von der Auflösung und Kalibrierung ihren Bildschirm.

Today I what to present you the shimmers. Shimmer has little shimmer sparkles add to a colored base coat. Mostly silver, but you can see other color of shimmer sparkles lately. The smaller the sparkles, the subtle the effect. Thank his sparkle it can be worn without top coat for a shiny finish, I discourage to do so, to. Please excuse the photo quality, it doesn’t show how the color are in real.
It’s Totally Fort Worth It (silver/grey sheer)
I consider this finish more a frost than a sheer. A frost is a very fine shimmery polish with obvious brushstrokes. I wasn’t a fan of this finish back in the ’80, I will not start now. This silvery-grey frost-sheer is absolutely not my style. But still: I can imagine that it’s OK when someone wants a not so flashy manicure.
I Vant to Be A-Lone Star (baby blue shimmer)
It has a very tender baby blue touch to it, but depending on the light it can be greyish. The shimmer is tender as well but it’s there. An OK color.
Austin-tatious Turquoise (turquois shimmer)
Catch me in the Net : this was the first tough when I saw this color, it is discreet and it doesn’t have glitter in the finish. Again; an OK color for me.
Opacity: all 3 shimmer have to be applied at least 3 times in order to archive a decent opacity.
The bottom line: I love shimmer, but they have to be covering. This 3 shimmer of the Texas Collection are nice, but they don’t get to me at all. Although I have to say that I don’t have anything similar in my collection as the baby-blue I Vant to Be A Lone Star. The silver sheer/frost of It’s Totally Forth Worth It is not my finish and I am not a fan of turquoise anyway, so Austin-tatious Turquoise is not a must for me. Ok, these shimmer are really not my style but I can imagine that they can work beautifully on blondes.
Launch: The Texas Collection has been launched already at the 2nd February in the US. Here in Switzerland is only available starting from late February 2011. The lacquer can be find in selected Nail Studios or can be order by me for Fr. 23.- plus shipping cost.
