The Queen returns to her throne. It's been two years since Mary J. blige dropped her last album, London Sessions. The legendary R&B singer is now back, amidst recent personal issues, with her new single "Thick of It." Debuted earlier this month at a show in Mashantucket, CT, the breakup song touched on her divorce from Kendu Isaacs.
The 45-year-old filed for divorce from her husband of 12 years back in July, citing "irreconcilable differences." "Thick of It" serves as first offering off MJB's upcoming Strength of a Woman LP, set to arrive before the year ends. The new album will feature contributions from Kanye West and singer/songwriter Jazmine Sullivan.
The fall will be a busy one for the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, as she will kick off the "King + Queen of Hearts" tour with Maxwell on Oct. 13 in Switzerland.
