Wie ich schon mehrmals erwähnt habe, ist grün meine Lieblingsfarbe. In meinem Schrank befinden sich allerdings so gut wie keine grüne Anziehsachen. Das musste ich natürlich ändern. Ich hatte noch diesen tollen grünen Jaqcard-Stoff hier liegen und konnte nicht widerstehen mir daraus einen Rock zu nähen. Das Schnittmuster habe ich selbst entwickelt, man braucht dafür schließlich nicht viel, Taillen und Hüftweite, Länge und Länge von Taille bis Hüfte. Recht einfach das Ganze. Anleitungen dazu kann man zuhauf im welt weitem Netz finden. Der Rock schließt mit einem Reißverschluss an der Seite, und ich musste Unmengen abändern, da er anfangs gar nicht saß. Irgendwann passte es, und am Abschluss habe ich noch eine schwarze Häkelborte aufgenäht, um zu vertuschen, das der Saum hinten und vorne ungleichmäßig angenäht ist, denn sobald man auch man nur ein bisschen Hintern hat, muss der Rock hinten länger sein, sonst siehts doof aus. Es soll ja auch so eine Technik mit Abnähern geben, aber die ist für mich bisher ein Buch mit Sieben Siegeln.As I have recounted several times already, my favourite colour is green. Alas, there are but few pieces of clothing that are dyed in that lovely hue. I had to change that. I had this beautiful green jaqcard fabric lying around and couldn't resist making a skirt out of it. I made the pattern myself, which is not that difficult, you just need the circumference (I watched "Would I lie to you" today, and that word was used several times during the show) of your hips and waistline, the length of the skirt and the lenght of waist to hips. The are several instructions on how to draft your own skirt pattern on the net. I put in a zipper at the side of the skirt, and had to make quite a few changes, as it looked really wonky at the start. Eventually it fit and at the bottom I added black crocheted lace, to hide the fact that the seam at the front and back are not exactly the same width, because as soon as you have even a little bit of a behind, the back has to be longer than the front, otherwise it looks stupid. There is supposed the be some kind of technique with darts, but at the moment that is a closed book to me.
