Time for another great report and review about a stay in Salzburg, at the Sheraton Salzburg Hotel at Auerspergstrasse 4, Salzburg, Austria. You read already about the trip to Red Bull Hangar 7, but as I needed a hotel for my stay – the Sheraton Salzburg Hotel was selected for me.
It is located directly on the Mirabell Gardens, a fantastic public park with great flowers and trees everywhere and only 5-10 minutes walk to the historic and small city of Salzburg. Perfect to start the day with a way through the park, crossing the river Salzach and visit the city with the famous Mozart House.
I received a suite on the 7th floor – called Sky Suite – with a privat balcony, great to overlook Salzburg and for a look to the mountains. The sky suite has a size of approx. 50sqm meters and is on private floor, so a real silent place – with direct access to the Club Lounge “7. Etage”… I really like the style of a small living room, a great working desk and sleeping space with enough space for the luggage. The bathroom was huge and what was most important for me – clean!
When you compare the Club-Floor and Club-Lounge on this property with other SPG lounges, the view is simply perfect – you have direct view from the terrace on the 7th floor to the famous castle (rumors say that the trees outside are cut, so that guests can see the historic castle!). They offer full service starting with breakfast and later snacks during the day – including all kinds of drinks and sweets…
The hotel is located perfectly, if you are looking for a more silent spot and do not look for a place in the middle of the historic city (e.g. the SPG-hotel “Goldener Hirsch”) or 20km outside (SPG-hotel Schloss Fuschl) – the service is good (in the Club lounge very good!) and the SPG recognition is o.k. – the price range of the hotel is in the higher level (but all hotels in Salzburg are expensive!) – For me – I can recommend this hotel to you and will visit it again!
(German version): Es wird wieder einmal an der Zeit für ein neuen Hotelbericht und eine Bewertung meines Aufenthaltes in Salzburg, im Sheraton Salzburg Hotel in der Auerspergstrasse 4, Salzburg, Österreich. Ihr habt sicherlich schon über meinen Besuch zum Red Bull Hangar 7 gelesen, daher benötigte ich auch ein Hotel und das Sheraton Salzburg Hotel wurde für mich ausgewählt.
Es ist direkt an den Mirabellen-Gärten gelegen, ein toller öffentlicher Park mit tollen Blumen und Bäumen und nur 5-10 Minuten von der historischen Altstadt gelegen. Perfekt für einen Spaziergang am Morgen durch den Park, die Salzach überqueren und ein Besuch des Mozart-Hauses.
Ich habe eine Suite in der 7. Etage erhalten – genannt “Sky Suite” – mit einem privaten Balkon und tollem Ausblick über Salzburg und den Bergen. Die Sky Suite hat eine Größe von ca. 50qm auf einem privaten Flur, daher ist es sehr schön still – mit einem direkten Zugang zur Club Lounge “7. Etage”… mir persönlich gefällt der Stil mit einem kleinen Wohnzimmer, einem Arbeitsbereich und einem Schlafbereich mit genügend Platz für das Gepäck. Das Badezimmer ist sehr großzügig gestaltet und das Wichtigste – sauber!
Wenn man die Club-Etage und Club-Lounge mit anderen SPG Lounges vergleicht, ist hier die Aussicht perfekt. Direkter Blick aus der 7. Etage auf die berühmte Burg – die Salzburg überblickt (Gerüchte sagen, dass die Bäume außerhalb so geschnitten wurden, dass die Gäste immer einen Blick auf die Burg erhalten..). In der Club-Lounge wird der gesamte Service geboten, mit einem Frühstück am Morgen, Snacks den ganzen Tag über und verschiedenste Getränke.
Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt, gerade wenn man einen etwas ruhigeren Ort sucht und nicht direkt in der Mitte der Stadt sein möchte (wie z.B. im SPG-Hotel “Goldener Hirsch”) oder 20km außerhalb von Salzburg sein möchte (wie z.B. Schloss Fuschl) – der Service im Hotel ist gut (in der Club Lounge sehr gut!) und die SPG-Erkennung ist o.k. – die Preislage des Hotels ist im oberen Bereich angesiedelt (aber alle Hotels in Salzburg sind relativ teuer!) – Ich kann das Hotel empfehlen und werde es auch in Zukunft wieder besuchen.
