Nun zeige ich schon wieder ein ein schwarz weißes Kleid, doch diesmal ein gestreiftes.
Ehrlich gesagt ist dieses Kleid ein Sommerkleid, es ist aus ganz dünnem Jersey vom Stoffmarkt und so, wie ich es im Moment trage, absolut nicht wettertauglich, aber wozu hat man lange Unterhemden, Strumpfhosen, warme Socken und Schals, die ich hier jetzt nicht alle zeige, weil man dann das Kleid nicht richtig sieht. Der Schnitt ist das Schnittmuster Jersey Kleid Gr: 36-44 von Kirsten Sinnack (Schnipp-Schnapp) und ist ein recht kurzes ebook. Es ist gut erklärt und das Schnittmuster ausdrucken und zusammenkleben wird einem sehr einfach gemacht. Doch ich hätte wirklich gerne viel mehr Beispielbilder des Endproduktes, andere Versionen gesehen. Na gut, musste ich eben selbst kreativ werden.
Once more I am showing off a black and white dress, this time a striped one.To be honest, this is a summer dress, it's made out of really thin knit fabric from the fabric market and the way I am wearing it now is definetly not weather appropiate, but what are long johns, long sleeves, warm socks and scarves for, which I am not showing you here, as you wouldn't see the dress properly.The pattern is the Jersey Dress in Sizes 36-44 from Kirsten Sinnack (Schnipp-Schnapp) and is an ebook. It is quite well described, though pretty short and it's easy to print out and stick the pattern pieces together. The only thing it is lacking are pictures of the finished garment, in different versions.. Well, I guess I just have to get creative myself.
Aber: Dieses Kleid ist für superschlanke Damen gedacht, was ich wahrlich nicht bin, was man leider Gottes auch genau bei dem Seitenbild am Ende sieht. Denn als ich das fast fertige Kleid anprobierte, saß es wie ein Schlauch. Ich habe mich etwas von der Zeichnung des Kleides täuschen lassen und dachte, dass der Rockteil etwas ausgestellter wäre, doch er ist einfach nur gerade und wenn ich ich es nett aus drücken wollte: it hugs my hips. Also, offen gesagt, es sah aus wie eine Wurstpelle. Konnte man nichts machen, eigentlich ein TFT (Teil für die Tonne). Doch ich besaß gerade noch genug Stoff übrig, um den Rockteil zu ersetzen, nicht das ganze Kleid, nur das Unterteil. Ich bin dann wagemutig mit der Schere an mein Kleid getreten und habe in Taillenhöhe abgeschnitten, etwas tiefer, als der Bindegürtel sitzt. Die Teile für den Rock habe ich in A-Linie ausgeschnitten, zusammengenäht, und da es etwas breiter als das Oberteil war, aber ich es etwas eingekräuselt und ans Oberteil genäht. Außerdem habe ich wieder die Ärmel verlängert und gut ist, jetzt, mit ganz viel Thermokleidung unten drunter ist es auch Septembertauglich.
But: this dress is made for super skinny gals, which I am definetly not, as you can see especially well in the last picture. As I tried on the nearly finished dress it fitted like a glove. But if you have curves, and lots of them, you don't want the fabric hugging your hips and being to snug, well, at least that's what I don't like. So, I thought, okay, sadly this is trial and error dress and fit to be used as rags. But I just had enough fabric left for the skirt part, not both skirt and top, but at least the skirt part.So I boldly cut of top from bottom at the waist, a little beneath the belt. The parts for the new skirt I cut out in an a-line shape, sewed the sides, gathered the top and sewed top and botttom together. Furthermore, I also lengthend the sleeves a little and we're done, and with lots of thermal underwear this dress can be worn during a cold September.
Hmm, also dieses Bild gefällt mit wirklich nicht, merke für die Zukunft, Bauch einziehen, Schultern ganz weit zurück und nicht atmen (also noch viel mehr den Bauch einziehen, als ich es hier schon tue) Hmm, this picture isn't very flattering, I must say, note to myself, in future suck in tummy, shoulders right back and don't breathe (that is to say, suck in the tummy even more than I am doing already)
