D Und schon wieder ist es soweit: Weihnachten. Wie ich euch sicher schon hundertmal erzählt habe, mache ich mir nicht so viel aus diesem Tag. Aber dieses Jahr ist es schon allein schön, da ich mal wieder zu hause bin und von meiner lieben Familie umgeben. In Hamburg bin ich nicht so wirklich in Weihnachtsstimmung gekommen, obwohl die Innenstadt weihnachtlich geschmückt war und es eine Menge toller Weihnachtsmärkte gab. Aber eigentlich halte ich diese Weihnachtsbeleuchtung für eine unheimliche Stromverschwendung - und das hier in Deutschland, wo wir doch vor dem Rest der Welt so tun, als wären wir das umweltfreundlichste Land überhaupt. Außerdem war die Innenstadt immer total überfüllt und das Gedrücke durch diese Menschenmassen macht auch nicht wirklich Spaß. So habe ich die Innenstadt im letzten Monat eigentlich gemieden.
Im trauten Heim wurde ich nun mit lecker Plätzchen und Omas tollem Essen empfangen und heute Abend gibt es ein schönes Familienfest und wie jedes Jahr Fondue, das absolute Highlight von Weihnachten. Habt ihr auch solche Weihnachtstraditionen?
Danach geht es zur Bescherung, was ich auch jedes Jahr versuche etwas kritisch zu sehen. Ich schenke zwar gern und werde natürlich auch gern beschenkt, aber eigentlich ist das ganze nur eine Macke unserer Konsumgesellschaft. Daher verzichte ich gern auf teure Geschenke und lege die Priorität nicht darauf, wie viel ich für ein Geschenk ausgebe sondern wie viel Arbeit ich hineinstecke und wie wichtig es mir ist.
Ich wünsche euch dennoch ein wunderschönes Weihnachtsfest und hoffe das ihr es alle so wie ich, mit euren Liebsten verbringen könnt.
Jedes Jahr versuche ich für den Blog ein schönes weihnachtliches Bild zu machen und bekomme es einfach nicht hin. Das mag vielleicht daran liegen, dass ich Weihnachten hasse. Also gibt es dieses Jahr ein unweihnachtliches Bild, das ich dafür aber schön finde.
E And it's the time again: Christmas. It isn't a big secret that I hate this day and I think I told it to you about a hundred times. But this year it's a little bit more beautiful because I'm at home and can spent it with my family. In Hamburg I wasn't really in the mood for christmas although the inner city was decorated and there were a lot of Christmas markets. But in the end I think this Christmas lighting is a huge dissipation of electricity. Furthermore the inner city was overcrowded and that wasn't really fun. So I avoided the inner city in the last month.
At home in Heidelberg I was received with delicious cookies and grandma food and I will spent this evening with my family and we will eat fondue like every year, my personal christmas highlight. Do you also have such traditions?
After that we will hand out the presents what I also see pretty critical. I like to make presents and certainly I also like getting presents, but basically that's a quirk of our consumer society. That's why I think the price of presents doesn't count. What actually counts is how much work and love is in it.
Nevertheless I wish you a merry christmas and I hope that you can all spent it with your beloved ones, like I do.
