Marimekko give Converse a makeover
For the coming Spring two timeless brands, Finnish design house Marimekko and footwear brand Converse have collaborated on a unique collection of shoes called Converse ♥ Marimekko.
Now fun, bold geometric patterns, described by Marimekko’s Design Manager Noora Niinikoski as something like early “childhood patterns”, adorn the Converse sneakers. The patterns featured on the shoes include ‘tarha’ and ‘pikkusuomu’, designed by Annika Rimala in the 1960s, as well as ‘kirppu’, designed in 1980 by maija isola and her daughter Kristina.
