LONDON – PASTA REMOLI.

Kurz bevor ich das letzte Mal nach London geflogen bin erreichte mich eine Email, in der ich eingeladen wurde den Italiener Pasta Remoli in London auszuprobieren. Ich mag zwar Pizza nicht besonders, aber Antipasti, Burrata & Pasta liebe ich umso mehr. Also bin ich der Einladung ohne zu zögern gefolgt. Mit Laura im Schlepptau haben wir uns also in Richtung Londoner Norden aufgemacht, um im italienischen Food-Himmel zu landen!
Shortly before I left for London the last time, I received an invitation to try the Italian restaurant Pasta Remoli in London. Well I don’t like Pizza, but my heart jumps hearing the words: antipasti, burrata & pasta! Obviously there was only one way to react to that invite: I quickly replied „yes“, grabbed Laura and off we went towards the north of London. The ride was worth it because we ended up in the Italien food heaven!
Nachdem wir die Karte ordentlich studiert haben, konnten wir uns immer noch nicht entscheiden! Alles hörte sich so gut an und jedes Gericht sah einfach köstlich aus! Die offene Küche ist sicherlich ein Highlight des Restaurants – ich liebe es, wenn man den Köchen bei ihrem Handwerk zuschauen kann! Gemeinsam mit unserem super lieben Kellner haben wir entschieden, dass wir mit einer bunt gemischten Vorspeisenplatte starten werden, sodass wir möglichst viel des umfangreichen Menüs probieren können: Reisbällchen, Burrata mit Schinken, frisch gebackenes Brot mit selbst gemachten Öl-Dips. We studied the menu, up & down we went. Everything we read on the menu or saw coming out of the open kitchen looked too good to simply decided only on one dish each. Luckily, our lovely waiter knew how to help us out. He offered to create a plate with lots of different starters. We didn’t complain about that idea! While we waited for our first round of food to arrive, we sat back, relaxed and watch the cooks doing their craftsmanship. Our plate filled with food arrived: fried rice balls, burrata with ham, freshly baked bread and homemade olive oil dips. Y U M M Y. Everything was delicious, tasty and fresh. Although we were already happy after the starters, we yet had to try the main courses…
Auch hier fiel eine Entscheidung ziemlich schwer! Doch das Team von Pasta Remoli ist sich dem durchaus bewusst und hilft, indem sie einem die besten Kombinationen aus Nudeln und Soßen empfehlen. Wir haben uns für den Klassiker schlechthin entschieden: Spagetti Bolognese! Dazu gab es noch Maultaschen in Salbei und einen Salat mit Scampis.
Es waren einfach die besten Nudeln der Welt. Man schmeckt direkt heraus, dass die Nudeln nicht en masse hergestellt werden, sondern wirklich frisch sind. Das Essen war ein Traum! Tja, aber so ein Festmahl kann man natürlich nicht ohne Dessert & Digestive beenden…
Once again, a decision was heard to make. However, the team of Pasta Remoli knows about how hard it can be if you can choose from different pastas and sauces. Therefore, they help you out by telling you what’s the best match. In the end we decided for a true classic: Spagetti Bolognese, ravioli with sage and a salad garnished with orange and scampis.
We had simply the best pasta in the world. Freshly made pasta tastes a lot different than the ones you can buy in a store, since it tastes a lot better!! The food was a dream come true and we were more than satisfied after our dinner. However, a feast like that cannot end without dessert & a little glas of digestive…
Glücklicherweise haben uns die Desserts nicht ganz so überzeugt, sodass wir dem Food-Koma doch noch entgangen sind. Was mir besonders gut gefallen hat: die Preise sind für die Portionen wirklich fair. Das kommt nicht immer in den Restaurants in der City vor!
Luckily, the dessert menu couldn’t completely convince us so that we happily avoided a possible food coma. What I liked most? The prices compared to the size of a meal are super fair. Doesn’t happen to often in London!
