Der Wiener Life Ball ist eines der größten AIDS Charity Events weltweit und vereint gesellschaftliche Tradition der Wiener Ballkultur mit Opulenz, Extravaganz, Glamour, ausgefallenen Performances, engagierten Reden und emotionalen Momenten. Das Ziel des Life Balls ist es, als Sprachrohr HIV-positiver und AIDS-kranker Menschen zu dienen, finanzielle Mittel im Kampf gegen HIV/AIDS zu lukrieren und HIV/AIDS nicht länger zu tabuisieren. Kreative Kostüme, ausgelassenes Feiern im Wiener Rathaus, internationale Stargäste (zB Ricky Martin, Bill Clinton, Vivienne Westwood, Margherita Missoni) sowie eine großartige Eröffnungszeremonie inkl. Fashion-Show und Auftritt von Songcontest-Gewinnerin Conchita Wurst auf dem Rathausplatz gehören zum Life Ball und machen ihn so einzigartig.Die Inspiration für die 22. Auflage dieses Events war Hieronymus Boschs „Garten der Lüste“ – und so verwandelt sich das Wiener Rathaus diesen Samstag in fantasievolle Gartenszenerien, Insektenwelten und Blütenkulissen. Wir dürfen also auf wunderbare Kostüme & Kleider gespannt sein. Ball’s aim is be a spokesperson for people living with HIV/AIDS, to raise further funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS and to fight against the taboo status of HIV/AIDS in our society. Fancy & unusual outfits, cheerful celebration inside Vienna's City Hall, international star guests (e. g. Ricky Martin, Bill Clinton, Vivienne Westwood, Margherita Missoni) as well as an exuberant opening ceremony incl. fashion show and performance of Eurovision Song Contest winner Conquita Wurst on the City Hall Square contribute to the unique flair of the event.
Basic inspiration of 22nd Life Ball was Hieronymus Bosch‘s “Garden of Earthly Delights” - therefore in this Saturday Vienna City Hall is transforming into highly imaginative garden settings, worlds of insects and flowery sceneries. So we can look forward to amazing costumes & outfits! And today I've the honor to present you an enchanting second outfit within my "flower collection".
