KoЯn mit neuem Album
Wie wir schon mehrfach berichtet haben arbeiten KoЯn an einer Dubstep Platte – siehe hier – und gaben einige Zeit später Vö-Datum und Titel bekannt (siehe hier). Nun wurde mit dem 02. Dezember 2011 das Veröffentlichungsdatum für das Release im deutschsprachigen Raum festgelegt. Der Titel bleibt nach wie vor “The Path of Totality”.
“‘The title The Path of Totality refers to the fact that in order to see the sun in a full solar eclipse, you must be in the exact right place in the exact right time,’ erklärt Frontmann Jonathan Davis. ‘That’s how this album came together. I think all the producers feel the same way. I’m not sure it could ever happen again’”
“James “Munky” Shaffer erzählt: ”Get Up!’ started as a bit of an experiment, but we had such an amazing response from our fans and had such a great time collaborating that a full album of tracks came together in a couple of months. We couldn’t wait to get to the studio every day to finish the next song.’
‘Narcissistic Cannibal’, ‘Burn The Obedient.’ ‘Illuminati,’ ‘Kill Mercy Within,’ und ‘Chaos Lives In Everything’ heißen nur einige Songs, die sich auf der Tracklist befinden werden.
Das Album wird in zwei Ausführungen erscheinen: Einer Standard-CD mit 11 Songs und einer Special Edition inklusive Bonustracks sowie der Bonus-DVD ‘The Encounter’. Diese zeigt das unvergessliche KoЯn-Konzert in einem Kornkreis mitten auf einem Getreidefeld in Bakersfield, USA. Bislang war die Show nur in gekürzter Form im Fernsehen und online zu sehen, für Käufer der Special Edition gibt es sie nun in kompletter Länge.”
