In der Schwangerschaft hatte ich ja wirklich viel Spaß das Babyzimmer zu gestalten, und ich hab mich dort im letzten Jahr sehr wohl gefühlt (und Oliver auch denk ich – ihr könnt das Zimmer hier ansehen). Nun ist er aber schon eher ein Kleinkind und hat andere Bedürfnisse, wir stillen nicht mehr, dafür braucht er mehr Platz zum Spielen und ab und zu (ok, derzeit oft, böse Zähne) jemanden der bei ihm im Zimmer schläft… also hab ich ein bisschen umgestellt und hab mir gedacht ich zeig euch heute wie es derzeit aussieht:
During pregnancy I had so much fun putting together the nursery, and it was very comfortable during the last year (you can see the room here). Now Oliver is already more a toddler than a baby and has other needs. We don’t nurse anymore, he needs more room to play and sometimes (ok, quite often…) he needs someone to sleep besides him…so we reorganized his room a bit and today I’ll show you how it turned out:
Das tolle Poster an der Tür hat ihm Meliha geschenkt und wir sagen den Tieren jeden Abend gute Nacht. Und das süße Monsterchen haben wir aus Neuseeland mitgebracht.
Nachdem er sich abgestillt hat brauchen wir eigentlich den gemütlichen Sessel nicht mehr. Gelesen wird am Boden im Kuscheleck, so kann er leichter aufstehen und uns neue Bücher bringen ;-) Also hab ich den Sessel abgebaut und so gleich eine Menge Platz gewonnen. Das Bett haben wir in das Eck beim Fenster geschoben, das Gitter schon abmontiert und daneben eine (Luft)Matratze gelegt. So schlafen wir kuschelnd ein, wir legen dann das Stillkissen als kleine Barriere auf, und wenn er munter wird steht er auf und kommt zu uns (oder wenn sein Flascherl leer ist geht er um 2 Uhr früh in die Küche um es anzufüllen, was er natürlich nicht schafft – wahre Geschichte)
We got the great poster on the door from Meliha and we say goodnight to all the animals each night. The cute monster is from New Zealand.
Now since he weaned himself we don’t need the comfy chair anymore. We read on the floor on the mattress, so he can easily get up and bring us new books ;-) I put the bed in the corner next to the window (where the chair was before), removed the bars already and put an air-mattress besides his bed. So he falls asleep cuddling, we put the nursing pillow next to him as a barrier and when he wakes up he just gets up and comes to us (or in case his bottle is empty he just walks to the kitchen at 2am to fill it up, what he can’t do of course – true story)
Am kleinen Tisch steht ein Nachtlicht, das ich mir noch in der Schwangerschaft eingebildet habe. Es ist dreistufig verstellbar und mit Akku an der Steckdose aufladbar. Daneben steht eine coole Roboterspardose, die wir von FourMonkeys bekommen haben und lieben!! Die Eisenbahn haben Max und ich in meiner Schwangerschaft in Znaim mitgenommen. Und das Auto war mein erstes Auto. Ehrlich, das hab ich von meiner Mama zum Führerschein bekommen ;-) Es ist aus alten Dosen gemacht und er mag es genauso wie ich.
On the table theres a night light I bought when I was pregnant. It has 3 stages and you can load it in a power plug. We got the robot from FourMonkeys and love it (its a savings box)! The train is from Znojmo, where we went also when I was pregnant. And the car was my very own first car! Really, I got it from my mom when I passed the driving school ;-) Its made of old cans and he loves it as much as I do.
Mini fühlt sich im „neuen“ Zimmer auch sehr wohl – ich hab einen Teil des gewonnenen Platzes dafür benutzt ihr einen Polster hinzulegen. Sie ist einfach immer gerne da wo wir sind, und das Kinderzimmer war bisher das Einzige in der Wohnung, in dem Sie keinen eigenen Platz hatte.
Mini also likes her „new“ room – we used some of the won space for a pillow for her. She likes to be where we are, and Olivers room was the only room in our apartment where she had no pillow.
Ich wollte Stofftiere eigentlich so lange wie möglich vermeiden – ich hab noch die riesigen Säcke voll Stofftiere im Kopf, die mein Bruder und ich irgendwann angesammelt hatten. Ganz lässt es sich aber doch nicht vermeiden, sind ja einfach süß… unsere sind aber alle etwas ganz Besonderes: die süße Katze ist von Meliha’s Mama (und heißt bei uns nach Meliha’s Tochter: die Ece Katze ;-)). Die Giraffe hat meine Mama für mich genäht, als ich ein Baby war. Sie bekam einen neuen Stoffüberzug verpasst (wobei der Stoff auch ein Überbleibsel ist, also eine richtige Retro-Giraffe ;-) Der Hampelmann am ersten Bild ist übrigens auch Retro: den hatte ich auch schon als Baby!). Und auch das Murmeltier (mit eingearbeiteter Rassel) stammt von meiner Mama. Er liebt alle, und sie gehen jeden Tag mit ihm schlafen und werden gekuschelt.
I wanted to avoid stuffed animals as long as possible – I still remember the huge mountain of stuffed animals my brother and I had. They can’t be avoided totally, so we already have some as they are too cute…and ours are very special too: the cute cat is from Meliha’s mom (and she’s named after Melihas daughter: Ece cat). My mom made the giraffe when I was a baby and just made a new fabric cover (although the fabric is also very old, so its a real retro giraffe ;-) The jumping jack on the first picture is retro too: I also had them already as a baby!). The marmot also is made by my mom. He loves them all and cuddles them when he goes to sleep.
Und noch ein anderes Tier ist sein Liebling: der tolle Vogel, den er von meiner Freundin Dagmar bekommen hat. Nachdem er mal heraußen hatte wie er funktioniert, läuft er den ganzen Tag damit in der Wohnung herum. Was man am Bild nämlich nicht sieht: der Vogel flattert wenn man ihn herumschiebt! Dagmars Argument fand ich sehr gut: Nachziehtiere sehen die Kinder nicht so gut beim Gehen, Schiebetiere schon!
Noch ein Wort zu der tollen Schatzkiste: die hat mein Papa zu meinem 25er gemacht! (Partythema war damals Neuseeland und ich musste einen tollen Schatz im See heben, lange Geschichte ;-))
There’s also another favorite animal in his room: the bird he got from my friend Dagmar. As soon as he found out how it works he pushes it around the apartment the whole day. What you don’t see on the picture: the bird flutters when you push him! I loved Dagmars reason to buy it: animals that need to be pulled are nice, but kids don’t see them when they walk. So push animals it is.
A word to the great treasure chest: my dad made this for me for my 25th birthday! (Party theme was New Zealand and I had to find a treasure in a lake – long story ;-))
Ihr seht, hat sich also wirklich ein bisschen etwas verändert. Bin gespannt, wie lange es jetzt so bleibt ;-) Irgendwann zeig ich euch auch seine mittlerweile beachtliche Büchersammlung. Schönen Abend!
