Ich bin immer weiter auf der Suche nach Mitteln um den Winter, oder besser gesagt, die Kälte zu bekämpfen. Auf dem Blog von Fräulein Otten habe ich eine Anleitung zu Hausschuhen gefunden und am Sonntag gleich ausprobiert. Sie benutzt als Wärmeabdichtung Thermoeinlage, nun da es Sonntag war und ich sowas nicht besitze, habe ich zwei Lagen Leder und eine Lage Cord für die Sohle benutzt. Da meine Füße die Größe.......45...!!!!..... haben, konnte ich ihr Schnittmuster nicht nehmen und habe deshalb meine Füße umrahmt und das als Schnittmuster benutzt. Die Schuhe sind nicht gerade gleichmäßig und etwas unförmig geworden, also, sie sind nicht gerade ein Hingucker, aber sie sind warm, das ist erstmal die Hauptsache. Vielleicht setz ich mich nochmal dran und versuch mich an einem schönerem Paar, aber für den Anfang reicht es.
I am always on the look out to fight of winter, i.e. the cold. On Fräulein Otten's blog I found instructions to make slippers and I just had to try it on sunday. She uses thermal interfacing, and as it was sunday and as I don't owe that stuff, I used two layers of leather and one layer of corduroy for the sole. As my shoe sizes is.......10 1/2......!!!!!!.....I couldn't use her pattern, so I traced around my own feet and used that as a pattern. The slippers are not very uniform and pretty misshapen, well, they're not really an eye-catcher, but they are warm, and that is the main point at the moment. Maybe I'll have another go at making a new and nicer looking pair later on, but for now they are just fine.
