ITB Berlin 2013 was the reason for me to be “offline” for nearly three days and with limited chances to check my emails and writing a blog post – but it was absolutely worth for me to be back in Berlin this year.
The ITB Berlin 2013 fair is the worlds leading travel show and was open for trade visitors from March 6th to March 8th (public days March 9th – March 10th, 2013) and I spent all three trade visitors days from early morning with a breakfast meeting at the Westin Grand Hotel Berlin often at 8am till the final meeting at 11.30pm – so days with 10-15 meetings per day and all three days on high heels…
What makes the ITB Berlin for me special or why was it worth for me to go there? Every ITB means meeting friends of all countries and nations again. On the fair, on your hotel, on evening events or even on an embassy. For three days the ITB is THE meeting place for all professional travel friends from all over the world and to build new friendships and new networks.
ITB Berlin 2013 – A few minutes after opening the fair
Is the fair open for everyone and possible to visit all places? No the first three days is a B2B-event, so you have to work in this business to get a chance of a ticket and to visit over 10,000 exhibitors on over 160,000sqm – and expect 120,000 people coming just for these three days. On the public days you can also expect over 60,000 people – so really crowded.
