My blog saw the light of day in late March 2013! Before, I was a convinced pants wearer! Skirts and dresses I wore only to very festive occasions, and only when it was warm. Because I was just used to always wear pants. In a dress or skirt I felt like in a mask, when I look in the mirror I haven´t seen ME! I felt unpleasant. I can not say why this fact was stuck, it must simply have been a very "bad" habit probably.
Mein Blog erblickte das Licht dieser Welt Ende März 2013! Davor war ich eine überzeugte Hosen-Trägerin! Röcke und Kleider trug ich nur zu sehr festlichen Anlässen und auch nur wenn es warm war. Weil ich Hosen einfach gewohnt war, fühlte ich mich im Rock irgendwie verkleidet und unangenehm. Ich kann gar nicht sagen warum das so festgefahren war, muss wohl einfach eine "schlechte" Angewohnheit gewesen sein.
Only in the course of my blogging and after looking through all the photos I noticed more and more on how beautiful skirts and dresses can look at me.
Erst im Laufe meines Bloggens und nach Durchsicht all der Fotos fiel mir immer mehr auf wie schön Röcke und Kleider an mir aussehen können.
You know what's weird - and I don´t know until today why - only on photos I noticed a lot of things to me, what looks good or bad, whether good or bad matched togehter, or how would it go better. When I look in the mirror I don´t recognize these things.
Wisst ihr was seltsam ist - und ich weiß bis heute nicht warum das so ist - erst auf Fotos fallen mir sehr viele Dinge an mir auf, was gut aussieht oder schlecht, ob gut oder schlecht kombiniert oder wie es besser gehen müsste. Wenn ich in den Spiegel schaue erkenne ich diese Dinge irgendwie nicht.

found some beautiful skirts. High quality at a very affordable price. But they also inspire me to even sew one. Eigentlich ist es eine sehr simple und anatomisch, logische Geschichte - warum Röcke an einer Frau gut aussehen!

Der Bund von einem Rock sitzt zu 99 % immer an der schmalsten Stelle unseres Körpers und betont diese Stelle. Je breiter der Bund, desto besser, aber einschnüren soll er nicht. Nun überspielt der Stoff unsere breiteste Stelle - die Hüfte - ist an dieser Stelle beweglich und locker und nicht fest und gespannt und jedes Gramm zu viel preisgebend wie in einer Hose.

Weiter nach unten umschmeichelt er unsere Beine und evtl. die nicht so schlanken Oberschenkel. Erst weiter unten, wo die Beine ihre dünnsten Stellen haben (knieabwärts) sind sie wieder sichtbar.
When people ask me if I had loose weight every time I wear either a skirt or a dress! This has made me think about it. Something must be different!
Mir passiert das immer wieder, dass Leute mich fragen ob ich abgenommen hätte und jedes Mal trage ich dabei entweder einen Rock oder ein Kleid! Das hat mich nachdenklich gemacht. Irgendwas muss also dran sein!
When I was wearing only pants I always thought skirts or dresses must be so impractical and unconfortable! Of course, ultra short, skin-tight mini skirts are still impractical and unconfortable, but skirts just has as many pros and cons as a pair of pants.
Als ich nur Hosen trug dachte ich immer Röcke oder Kleider wären so unpraktisch! Natürlich sind ultrakurze, hautenge Miniröcke das immer noch, doch haben Röcke genau so viele Vor- und Nachteile wie eine Hose.
If it is really hot outside, they are much more comfortable to wear and bring more cooling than a tight-fitting pants. If it's cold, it´s warmer if I wear a warm tights and/or overknees and boots as only a pair of pants! In winter you can wear very great skirts of wool, they are wonderfully warm, much better than a pair of jeans made of cotton.
Wenn es so richtig heiss draussen ist, sind sie viel angenehmer zu tragen und bringen mehr Abkühlung als eine fest anliegende Hose. Wenn es kalt ist, ist mir oft wärmer wenn ich eine warme Strumpfhose und/oder Overknees und Stiefel anziehe als nur eine Hose! Im Winter gibt es ganz tolle Röcke aus Wolle die wunderbar wärmen, viel besser als eine Jeans aus Baumwolle.
This was a small paean to the skirts of this world but of course I will always wear pants too. Finally, I must not decide if one or the other. Incidentally, a lot of dresses are also suitable to be seen as a "skirt" when you wear a jacket, shirt or blouse.
Das war ein kleiner Lobgesang an die Röcke dieser Welt doch selbstverständlich werde ich immer auch Hosen tragen. Schließlich muss ich mich nicht entscheiden. Übrigens eignen sich sehr viele Kleider auch dazu, mit einem Oberteil darüber einfach als "Rock" durchzugehen.
If you also a person always wearing only pants, just try it and give skirts a chance. When shopping next time pick out some skirts in different cuts and styles and tried them all for yourself alone in the locker room. A good tip from me to try on - always try on with pumps or other shoes with a little heel (or take your favorite shoes with you) you will be amazed what kind of an extreme difference it makes whether you are in the locker room barefoot in the skirt in front of the mirror or without shoes (you always looks somehow inappropriate, "clumsy" and too thick without shoes !!)
Falls ihr auch so eine typische "Hosenträgerin" seid, probiert es einfach mal aus. Sucht euch beim Shoppen nächstes Mal Röcke in verschiedenen Schnitten aus und probiert diese ganz für euch allein in der Umkleidekabine aus. Ein guter Tipp von mir zur Anprobe - zieht dazu Pumps oder andere Schuhe mit etwas Absatz an (oder nehmt eure Lieblingsschuhe mit) ihr werdet verblüfft sein was das für einen extremen Unterschied macht ob ihr in der Umkleidekabine barfuß im Rock vor dem Spiegel steht (da sieht man immer irgendwie unpassend, "trampelig" und zu dick aus!!) oder mit Schuhen an!!
