Über den Jahreswechsel habe ich ganz vergessen, bei der aktuellen, silberfarbenen Runde von Lacke in Farbe… und bunt! bei Lena von Lenas Sofa mitzumachen.
Icy Princess (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish). Farbe & Finish: Eiskaltes, besonders im direkten Licht sehr helles Silber mit einem stark glänzenden, metallischen Finish. Auftrag: Sehr gut. Gerade noch. Die Textur ist sehr gut pigmentiert, dennoch eher flüssig und trocknet zügig. Sie lässt sich sehr gut verteilen, was auch notwendig ist, da die Oberfläche keine Fehler verzeiht. Nach ein bis zwei Schichten ist die Farbe deckend und jeder Pinselstrich sichtbar. Preis/Leistung: Sehr gut. Auch dieser Lack gehört zum Urgestein der Colour & Go Nail Polish-Serie und bietet 8 ml Lack für schmale 1,55 Euro. Die Farbe ist seit August 2012 regulär erhältlich und wird zum Sortimentswechsel im Februar 2015 ausgelistet werden.
Dieser Lack ist in Farbe und Finish ganz sicher nicht jederfraus Geschmack – noch nicht einmal meiner. Aber er eignet sich hervorragend zum Stempeln, was ich schon auf Girls Night Out (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish), Splash! (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) und besonders beeindruckend auf dem dunkelvioletten Prom-Berry (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) getan habe.
Zur Abwechslung habe ich heute auf zwei Schichten Icy Princess selbst ein Motiv der Jumbo Plate Happy Holidays (CHEEKY) in Ultimate Pink (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) gestempelt. Anschließend habe ich mit einem Make-Up-Schwämmchen und Girls Night Out einen Gradienten gebastelt. Zum Schluss habe ich die Schneeflocken noch mit pinken Strassteinchen verziert und alles mit einer großzügigen Schicht Better Than Gel Nail Top Sealer (ESSENCE) versiegelt.
Since ESSENCE is going to discontinue their whole line of Colour & Go Nail Polishes, I try to show some of the colours I think are worth buying. Icy Princess (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) is one of them, although this icy, quite light silver with a strong metallic finish may not be everyone’s cup of tea. I recommend this polish because it is highly pigmented, opaque after one to two coats and can be used for stamping very well. I have used it with success on Girls Night Out (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish), Splash! (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) and even on the dark purple Prom-Berry (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish). For a change, today I stamped on two coats of Icy Princess itself. I used a pattern from Jumbo Plate Happy Holidays (CHEEKY) in Ultimate Pink (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish), created a gradient using a make-up sponge and Girls Night Out and added some pink rhinestones. Afterwards, I sealed this design with one coat of Better Than Gel Nail Top Sealer (ESSENCE).
