There is this dream from my childhood ... to travel around the world with one of these old horse-drawn wagons ... ever after the adventure "life" ... only worn by the nature and her possibilities ... free and self determining ... without the constraints which our civilization impose on us today, sometimes more and sometimes less. Yes, simply drift on the wind. As well as the modern nomads of our time who are looking for their ideals into nature, freedom and simplicity... turn away from the superficialities of the modern world and love to go their own self-supported life. The English photographer Iian McKell has followed this "nation of travelers" more than a decade, and created in his book "The New Gypsies" an impressive human portrait ... romantic, simple, mysterious, beautiful ... these words are associated with his pictures ... let us thinking ... about us and our plan of life...and show in an extraordinary and breathtaking manner, a culture that has voted with courage and conviction to live in harmony with nature... "The New Gypsies" ... a fascinating document of our time ...
