Marais (Paris), Notting Hill (London), Meatpacker (NY), Hackescher Markt (Berlin), Nine Streets (Amsterdam) - all these hip areas have one in common: They were just normal neighborhoods in the cities before they got discovered as fresh retail expansion targets for international lifestyle brands.
So, if you think of such places in Germany for the upcoming years - the caravan continues, but where does it rest next? I have some ideas for you in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt and Munich - and a place somewhere else which you might not have on your agenda.
