HOTEL REVIEW – 25HOURS HOTEL ALTES HAFENAMT.

Bevor es blogtechnisch mit euch wieder zurück nach Südamerika geht, machen wir noch einen kurzen Abstecher in der Hafenstadt Hamburg. Denn dort habe ich dieses Jahr mit Laura meinen Geburtstag verbracht: lunchen im Atelier F und Dinner in meinem neuen Lieblingsasiaten – Coast. Eben so ziemlich einer dieser Tage, die man als perfekte Mädchentage bezeichnet ♥
Übernachtet haben wir im 25hours hotel Altes Hafenalt. Es war mein erstes Mal in einem der coolen Designhotels und gewiss nicht mein letztes Mal, denn ich fand es so richtig cool dort und wie cool es da genau vor sich geht, gibt’s jetzt.
Die 25hours hotels zeichnen sich alle durch ihr buntes, aber wohl durchdachtes Design aus. Jedes Einzelne hat sein eigenen Stil und so unterscheidet sich diese Hotelkette von den üblichen Ketten aus der Hotelbranche. Genau dieser Fakt mach die 25hours hotels für mich so interessant. Man weiß praktisch, was man bekommt, aber man weiß nie so richtig, wie es aussieht solange man es nicht ausprobiert hat.
Before we head back to South America here on the blog, we make a short stopover in Hamburg. This year I spent my 26 birthday there together with my best friend. We had lunch at the Atelier F and dinner at Coast. I think it’s what you call the perfect girls day ♥ We stayed at the 25hours hotel Altes Hafenamt and it was my fist time at one of their hotels but for sure not my last one since it was pretty cool. How cool it really is, I’ll tell you today!
The 25hours hotels are known for their crazy but well thought out designs. Every single one has a different theme and therefore its own style and stand out compared to most of the other chains you know. That’s one of the reason I think the 25hours hotels are really interesting. You know what you’ll get, but you never really know how it looks like until you came and tried it!
What I really liked:
The bed and its duvet. Gerade in den letzten Monaten war ich so viel unterwegs, wie noch nie zuvor und ich habe ein bequemes Bett einfach richtig schätzen gelernt. Das Bett war himmlisch: super groß und bequem – genauso wie ich es mag. Aber mein persönliches Highlight war die Bettdecke. Ich weiß nicht, ob ihr das kennt, aber die Decke war einfach so richtig schön schwer, sodass man sich wirklich zugedeckt gefühlt hat. Ich spiele sogar mit dem Gedanken das Hotel anzurufen und zu fragen, welche Bettdecken das genau sind, weil die so kuschlig waren… traumhaft.
The bed and its duvet. The last months have been crazy and I’ve never been around more than at the moment. Due to my constant travel, I really got to appreciate a comfy bed. The bed at the 25hours hotel has been a dream: big and cozy – just the way I liked it. But my personal highlight? The duvet! Sooo incredible cozy. I don’t know if you know that but the duvet was heavy and therefore super cozy. I’m even thing about ringing the hotel and asking which brand it is to get it for myself… dreamy.
Free MINI & bike rental. Ok, wie cool ist das bitte? Ohne Aufpreis kann man sich je nach Verfügbarkeit (und Wetter) Fahrräder oder MINIs ausleihen. Da wir so richtiges Schietwetter hatten, haben wir uns für eine kleine Spritztour im MINI entschieden. Eine super Methode, um durch die Stadt zu cruisen. Fun Fact: mein erstes Autolein war ein MINI Cooper namens Susi ♥
Free MINI & bike rental. How cool is that? You can chose between renting a bike or a car depending the weather (and your mood) free of charge. Since we encountered the so called „Shietwetter“ (a rainy, windy day) we opted for a car to cruise around the city for a bit. Fun fact: My first own car was a MINI Cooper called Susi ♥
The design. Wie ihr vielleicht wisst, habe ich einen soften Spot wenn um Inneneinrichtung geht. Etwas, das ich sicherlich von meinem Bruder hab, denn in seine Wohnung würde ich direkt einziehen ohne etwas zu verändern. Alles, aber wirklich alles im Hotel, ist perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Es sieht einfach so richtig COOL aus. Kleine Details hier und da runden das ganze Interieur noch dazu perfekt ab – Daumen hoch für die Interieur Designer. Ich bin schon gespannt auf die anderen!
The design. As you might know, I have a soft spot when it come to interior. Something I for sure owe my brother. I’d move into his apartment right away without changing a thing. Everything, absolutely everything, is well-matched around the hotel. It just a really, really COOL place. Small details here and there make the whole concept come together.
neni. Schon seit meinem ersten Besuch im neni im Bikini Berlin und spätestens nach meinem neni-Besuch am Naschmarkt in Wien, bin ich dem Israeli vollkommen verfallen. Das neni gibt es auch im Alten Hafenamt und sorgt dort für das leiblich Wohl den ganzen Tag über. Ich finde es richtig cool zu sehen, dass so ein tolles Restaurant sich im Hotel niedergelassen hat.
neni. I first tried neni on top of the Bikini Berlin and was already quite convinced by their sweet potatoes fries. After visiting their flagship restaurant at the Naschmarkt in Vienna I was completely sold. It’s amazing to see such a cool restaurant partnering with a hotel to take care of our well-being.
What I would change:
So ziemlich gar nichts. Ganz ehrlich ich war hin und weg, mir hat es richtig gut gefallen und ich würde mich immer wieder für eines der 25hours hotels entscheiden. Denn das Konzept hat mich einfach überzeugt! Besonders toll finde ich, dass man sich morgens überhaupt nicht beeilen muss, um das Zimmer zu verlassen, denn der Checkout ist erst 13:00 Uhr (so entspannt!). Außerdem es gab eine Wärmflasche auf dem Zimmer – perfekt nach meinem kleinen Partywochenende auf Sylt!
Absolutely nothing! For real, I had an amazing time and would always chose to stay at one of the 25hours hotels again since their concept is absolutely convincing and really appealing to me. Two little extra goodies I loved are that you don’t need to rush in the morning since you can check out until 1pm (so nice!) and that there was a hot water bottle – everything I needed after a party weekend in Sylt!
