Unser letzter Stop vor zuhause galt Helsinki. Die Anstrengungen Indiens waren schnell vergessen (wenn auch nicht kuriert) angesichts der Unmengen an kulturellen und natuerlichen Sehenswuerdigkeiten, die sich uns hier in Finnland's Hauptstadt boten. Unsere Freunde Anu und Jussi empfiengen uns herzlich und zeigten uns die Highlights ebenso wie die schoensten Wohnhaeuser (Anu) und preiswertesten Bars (Jussi). Wir genossen herrliches Herbstwetter und machten lange Spaziergaenge entlang des Hafens und auf der Inselfestung Suomenlinna. Helsinki lohnt definitiv einen zweiten Besuch, mit mehr Energie und gesunden Maegen. Kiitos an unsere persoenlichen Tourguides Anu und Jussi!
Our ultimate stop before home was Helsinki. India's hassles were soon forgotten (if not cured) given the huge amount of cultural and natural sights that the Finnish capital has to offer. Our friends Anu and Jussi gave us a warm welcome and showed us the highlights as well as the most beautiful residental houses (Anu) and best value bars (Jussi). We enjoyed the beautiful autumn weather and strolled along the harbour and on the seafortress of Suomenlinna. Helsinki is definitely worth a second visit, with more energy and healthy stomachs though. Kiitos to our personal tourguides Anu and Jussi!
