Nun ist es offiziell, auch wenn es lange in der Gerüchteküche herum gebrodelt hat. Warner Bros. Pictures haben bestätigt, dass Oscar-Gewinner (wir vergessen mal JUPITER ASCENDING) Eddie Redmayne in der Rolle von Newt Scamander im HARRY POTTER-Spin Off PHANTASTISCHE TIERWESEN UND WO SIE ZU FINDEN SIND zu sehen sein wird. Das gab Greg Silverman, Warner Bros.-Präsident für Creative Development and Worldwide Production bekannt.

Rowling’s Wizarding World, where we know he will deliver a remarkable performance as Newt Scamander, the central character in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” (Greg Silverman)
Für den Film wird J. K. Rowling höchstpersönlich ihre Spielfilm-Drehbuch-Debüt geben, während David Yates, der die letzten vier HARRY POTTER-Filme inszenierte, auf den Regiestuhl zurückkehren wird.
