Gorillaz are getting ready to return with their first album in over half a decade next year. Damon Albarn confirmed the project last July, but excitement has grown in recent months with the news that De La Soul and Snoop Dogg (who have both collaborated with Gorillaz before) will appear on the upcoming album, which the group's other founder Jamie Hewlett calls " really fuckin special."
Continue reading below...To warm us up for their new album, Gorillaz have released a short story titled The Book of Noodle via their recently launched Instagram page. The adventure picks up days after the attack on Plastic Beach, and follows guitarist Noodle as she attempts to take down a "shape-shifting devil of unimaginable evil" named Mazuu. As usual, the story is accompanied by some crazy artwork from Jamie Hewlett.
It's unclear whether the new Gorillaz album will also be called The Book of Noodle, but dive into the story below.
