In der Nacht von Sonntag auf Montag (in Deutschland) wurden im Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles die 74. Golden Globes vergeben. Während die drei Töchter von Sylvester Stallone sich die Ehre teilten, Miss Golden Globe zu sein, führte Late Night Talker Jimmy Fallon durch die Show, die von La La Land geradezu eingenommen war. Fallons Eröffnungsnummer lehnte sich an das Musical Spektakel von Damien Chazelle an und auch die Globes selbst schienen den Film mehr als zu mögen: Beste Regie, bestes Drehbuch, bester Hauptdarsteller, beste Nebendarstellerin, bester Score und beste Musik. Nächster Halt: Oscars.
